Thanks Tally, I called him - his words were ' I wouldn't put my child on that drug'!!! great just what i needed, anyway had a bit of success tonight, I remembered that everything needs to be logical, so as my son ate his mammoth spoonfuls of pasta I showed him how small the pill was in comparison - two mins later he was having a go with jelly tots!! Fingers crossed for tomorrow

Please help me out, after waiting 7 years for a diagnosis my son is trialling Concerta 18mg, he was supposed to start yesterday but I just could NOT get him to take them, the minute he put the pill in his mouth he gagged and it was unpleasant and very stressfull, same today, it can't be broken or sprinkled...what to do???

Hi I too have a ASSD son and hubby - it is lonely, very frustrating and the lack of empathy is awful, especially when I lost a baby , he never really acknowledged what I had to go through. At the moment both my boys are reading 'The Blue Bottle Mystery' Kathy Hoopman - amazing ...they are BOTH recognizing a lot about themselves.

This is so interesting, I have always used a cheap and cheerful rug from Ikea, just for the bed I hasten to add, without any weight sleep is not as sound.

Hello Oddly enough I'm thrilled to be here! After knowing there was something 'not quite right' with my 7 yr old son, and being ignored and labelled 'a fussy Mother' etc etc AT LAST...my son has finally got a diagnosis of borderline Aspergers/ASD, I knew all along but feel bad that he has been put in lots of vunerable positions that must have confused the hell out of him, all better now, life is visual reminders and I can sleep at last without that awful niggle that something is wrong and nobody listens to me!!
