    Introductions!!

My son who is 17 years old has just been diagnosed with mild Asperger. I have felt for a number of years that something was different about him. He is of high intelligence gaining all A* in his GCSE's. Since going into sixth form at Grammar School he does not seem to have coped very well, and i have now found out this his due to the unstructured amount of time that they have. On his assessment the Dr pointed out that my son has learnt to cope with alot of the traits of aspergers but unfortunatly due to the overload of work and commitments he now has at school he is having difficulties. He is due to go to University next year and this worries me because I do not feel that he can look after himself in certain areas of his life. Joanne worried parent
