bevalee Report post Posted January 13, 2005 Well i went to tribunal today. We were in there from 10am-4.45pm. The panel rejected the idea for a placement in a unit for school phobic's, and for re-intergration into mainstream school proposed by the Lea. They also rejected the placement for a specialist As residential school because of the cost to Lea. I now have to look for a day placement some where and go back to tribunal! I AM REALLY 'P***ED OFF! bid Report post Posted January 13, 2005 (edited) Oh Beverley <'> <'> I'm so sorry. What if there aren't any specialist day placements in your area? Jericho Report post Posted January 14, 2005 So sorry to hear this. What a lot of [insert expletive of choice]! I wish they'd think less about their budgets and more about the needs of the child.
Kazzen161 Report post Posted January 14, 2005 I didn't think they could do that. Did the LEA suggest any other day schools? I hope there is no other suitable (day) school - then they will have no choice but to fund it. Karen
bevalee Report post Posted January 16, 2005 I've looked through the huge list of schools that i have and there isn't a day school near me. The LEA will probabley suggest an EBD school. If the panel at tribunal go for that i don't know what i'm going to do. Hang myself i expect!!
