MelowMeldrew Report post Posted January 21, 2005 Had a message yesterday to confirm that for the first time since being diagnosed ASD 6 years ago, he is due to start at an autistic unit after the next term, albeit for just ONE year, and I now have to lobby for a senior (11 plus), school as he will kicked out again then. Am I elated too soon ?

loulou Report post Posted January 21, 2005 Hi, I agree with Bid, I think your son will do well in the right environment. Also, you have a year to fight your battles with the LEA to get your son into an appropriate senior school. If your son makes progress in his new school, i would think that thay (the school) would recommend that he stays in a specialist school. Good Luck!
