Has something happened to the forum database recently?

Recommended Posts

I've just noticed some posts and topics seem to be disappearing from the forum or don't seem to show up when using the 'search' options.

Uh oh! You've been modded!!! :shame: :shame:

No, it's not modding - the mods edit stuff or post that they've removed things. This is just 'stuff' - and not particularly contentious stuff - disappearing without any sort of comment at all. The post I first noticed was one on 'integrated listening systems' which I tried to quote for another similar thread that popped up last night. A post by a therapist offering a huge endorsement of the system is still there, but the post I made raising concerns about the expense and one day training programme therapists went on in order to become acredited and enabled to sell on has disappeared. That's not the kind of stuff that would be modded - it's just balance. After that, i looked at a couple of other threads, and from memory they seemed to be missing chunks as well(?)

Hi BD

I don't remember you posting on the Integrated Listening Systems thread? Here is a different thread where you raised questions about it - is this what you're looking for?

http://www.asd-forum.org.uk/forum/Index.php?/topic/21992-bowen-technique/

As you know, (but for the benefit of others!)the fact that a post has been edited would show up at the bottom of a post. If there are concerns about a whole post normally it's made invisible rather than completely removed. This is so it can be discussed and edited if necessary and put back if appropriate. (Unless it's a duplicated post or something like that - I tend to just delete those).

Can you give us more info about the threads/posts you can't find?

Not really, as it was a few weeks ago and just posted off the cuff in response to a q, but I thought I actually posted in the 'Ils' thread too... Maybe I just forgot to hit 'add reply' or something(?) The thread you posted the link to on Bowen was the one I mentioned where I thought there were more posts, but I wasn't 100% on that anyway!

Like I said, it wasn't general 'modding', hence concern about the search engine/data base, but it's prob just me getting my wires crossed  If I notice anything else I'll try to be a bit more specific.
