Appeal letter

Well it arrived today letting us know they have received the appeal letter, and we have to state whether we want a written or oral appeal, well we want oral.

There isnt any wonder it has been turned down though, they havnt got in touch with ed physch or senco, who we ask them to get in touch with, they did send out a form to school, but head of year filled it in, not mentioning he is on school action, or under an ed physch or anything, simply putting that he is ok in everything, and not a danger on roads ect ect.

One question made us laugh, it asked if he took meds, they ticked NO, then the next Q asked, can her take them by himself, they ticked YES, how do they know this if he doesnt take them LOL then there was another one, cant remember what it was, but same again, they couldnt have known the answer.

So we are ringing both senco and ed physch to ask them to write a report so we can take it with us when we go.

Any advice for when we do get a appt would be appreciated, also does anyone elses child actually behave and act ok in school (C is ok, apart from forgetful, and often quiet), but see lots of problems at home as we do often wonder if its just us!!!!

hi meemo38 you are in the same boat as me going to appeal on twin2s as we were turned down and also at re-assessment the one thing that stuck out with me was when they asked the senco teacher if he could cross roads safely someone from the ss had written home issue in it but she ticked yes he can cross roads safely how does she know she does not take him to or from school also going to appeal for twin1s was turned down today after waiting 4months for his will not go for re-assesment as it would be no anyway just going straight to appeal and yes my 2 behave beautifully at school but not at home but specialist said it was whatever me and my husband were doing with them at home which made them like this not sure what he meant by that one do you? anyway enough waffle keep smilin luv karin xx
