kirky Report post Posted February 15, 2012 I'm tired right down in my soul... I'm tired of having to make difficult decisions I'm tired of the constant worrying I'm tired of filling in forms I'm tired of having to pester people to do what they say they were going to do I'm tired of never having any money I'm tired of people thinking my son is just a rude disrespectful boy! I'm tired, but tomorrow is another day and perhaps I won't feel so sorry for myself!

darkshine Report post Posted February 16, 2012 I'm tired because it's just gone midnight and there's no way on earth I'm getting to sleep any time soon because my mind is going blah blah blah.... Hope you wake up feeling less tired kirky - I know how that feels to be tired of everything, it is a feeling that I always wish will pass really quickly because its tiring being tired of so many things.... And if it doesn't go away then I have to make the choice to do something about it - which isn't easy but sometimes has to be done cuz sometimes changing things sorts it out. Aeolienne Report post Posted February 16, 2012 I'm tired of people telling me that all things happen for a reason. I'm tired of people telling me you learn more from failure than success. I'm tired of people congratulating me for being brave without bothering to find out how I really feel.
darkshine Report post Posted February 16, 2012 I'd get tired of people saying those things Aeollienne because it shows people aren't bothering to find out how you are feeling and those comments could feel slightly dismissive, especially the first example, as everything in the world ever cannot always happen for a reason - not in my opinion anyway.... However, I think some things can happen for a reason, except we don't find the reason out til later... I think some people say it to palm people off or brush aside their worries. And the second one is just stupid - surely we must (as people) learn from our successes as much as by failures - maybe more - as our successes tell us quite clearly what we did right - whereas our failures just show we did something wrong, but it isn't always clear what that thing was, which could lead to anger, confusion and feelings of inferiority... Having said that, attempting to learn from other people's successes can be counterproductive, as this scholarly article explains...
