If you're going through hell, keep going.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.

Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.

Never, never, never give up.

Nancy Astor: “Sir, if you were my husband, I would give you poison.”
Churchill: “If I were your husband I would take it.”

You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the ordeal of meeting me is another matter.

I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.

Never hold discussions with the monkey when the organ grinder is in the room

I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly....

This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.

According to Mary S Lovell's biography of the Mitford sisters, both Oswald Mosley and Winston Churchill regarded Mussolini as "the most interesting man in Europe".
