matzoball Report post Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) Since we've had a few requests of late, thought it was a good idea to remind forum users about some guidelines. If you would like help from forum members to take part in a uni study, tv programme or research project - please contact the moderators first. Since most of our forum members are on the spectrum, and may also have various other learning disabilities - we have a duty of care to them. If they ask you questions on the thread - please answer them publicly on the thread and not request they email you privately. This ensures safety on both sides. This isn't meant to be a negative thing, or a way to mollycoddle our forum members - but a way that we can make sure that if you do need input from them, that what you post is autism friendly, and offers as much transparency as possible. Also, if you are advertising services, the same guidelines apply - please contact the mods first before posting. You have to be clear that if your services are chargeable, even if they are specifically for people who have autism, that you put this in your post. trekster Report post Posted June 2, 2019 To add to the above, evidence of ethical approval (or reasons why this isn't relevant to your research) has to be private messaged to a moderator/admin and approved before posting, no exceptions.
trekster Report post Posted November 4, 2021 To add to this, any unauthorised research posted on the forum will be deleted without warning. You must have your project approved by moderators and show ethical approval to a moderator beforehand, no exceptions.
