Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you all know about the upcoming free wills and trusts events that Mencap are organising in March in the North East region. These seminars will take place at the following locations:

Wednesday 11th March, 12.30pm – 2.30pm & 6.30pm - 8.30pm

Newcastle City Library, Charles Avison Building, 33 New Bridge Street West, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, NE1 8AX

Thursday 12th March, 12.30pm - 2.30pm

The Bar Convent, 17 Blossom Street, York, North Yorkshire, YO24 1AQ

Tuesday 17th March, 12.30pm - 2.30pm

St George’s Centre, Great George Street, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 3BR

The seminars will be presented by a specialist legal professional who will talk at the event about how best to leave money behind to someone with a learning disability. The event is free and it is a great opportunity for families and carers to get straightforward, face-to-face advice.

To book your place please use our online booking form: https://www.mencap.org.uk/webform/book-pffe

Mencap has planned other wills and trusts events across the country - take a look at the website www.mencap.org.uk/pffe to find one near you.

Please feel free to contact the team with any questions you might have, or to book a place on 020 7696 6925 or
willsandtrusts@mencap.org.uk

Thanks,

Matt

Interesting.  I keep being told that I should make a will.  It's something I don't really like thinking about, and I couldn't possibly go and visit a solicitor, so how do people on the autistic spectrum themselves go about making wills?
