allsetuk Report post Posted May 26, 2007 my son started mini yoga 4 weeks ago, he is doing much better at this than the karate he tried earlier in the year, the fact he has his own mat and space works well for him where as karate meant partners and he spent the whole time under a chair hiding
JsMum Report post Posted May 26, 2007 Yoga is a good all rounder and suitable for everyone, children, adults and the edlerly, and even babies, which is more passive movement. We did a lot of yoga in my anti natal classes because of the benefits to mum and unborn child. Yoga is mainly concentrating on breathing and how the body is on a consous level, I have participated in yoga for many years and its the first thing I turn to when totally stressed. Yoga has a calming effect and great excersise not just on the breathing machanics but the whole body using every muscle. I would look into it defo and at least try it.
