  1. Hi all. Im gunna update you now. I had to go to the dr on monday (yesterday) for my daughter percription for her diabetes stuff. The dr that told us she was ok went into the secretarys office where i was stood. We had a real ding dong. i didnt care who heard me ( there was 3 secretarys there) he asked why i needed needles for my daughter? I went mad at him. I had a real moan at him. He said there wasnt a problem and he still believes he was right in sayin there was nothing wrong? She wasnt dehydrated for him to think of testing for diabetes. He said he wasnt in the wrong and he doesnt know why im mad and sayin the things i did????? I sent an email to the main dr there. He rang and said he has spoken to this dr and next time he will listen to parents more?? Yeah right.. Where does that leave us?? Without a sorry thats where. Im in the process of looking for a new dr. Just not sure if one exists???? Im still mad but just have to get on with things. Daughter doin well now. Although she dont like me doin jabs. Thats another thing to sort out but nicely this time. I hate needles just to let u all know
  2. Hi everyone. I didnt notice any girls on here. My ASD daughter loves PINK. It has to be pink everything or she wont have it. But sayin that she hates dolls n baby stuff. All her bedroom is pink and her teddies are pink all her clothes too. She has endless pink cushions. Her plate/bowl/cup is pink. Even shampoo and shower gel. Just glad she likes this colour as she wanted to have a bright red bedroom with a pink stripe at one stage. It also has to be the soft pink she hates groovey chick pink.
  3. Thanks for that advice. we have the diabetic nurse coming out tomorrow to see us. the next thing i have worrys about is the school? I know they can do it but to me i will always worry that they cant do her jabs soft enough for me. i will be worrying all day till she comes home. she not at school yet maybe next week if we feel brave enough?????? I think its all about trust. but do i trust them enough. Im just worrying too much i think? As they other problem is the school bus/taxi she was attacked on there about 3 weeks ago. I cant trust the escort or driver now. even worse since shes be diagnosed diabetic. How can i trust them to help my daughter if her sugar goes low when she couldnt help her when she was getting attacked???? I just dont know anymore....

  7. Hi me again. We did take our daughter back to GP he still said theres nothing wrong. We asked to take her to hospital to just make sure. Well she has been in hospital since Monday 18th sep. They found out within the hour she has Type 1 Diabetes. she is now on 4 lots of insulin a day. I have email my GP to have a right moan, still waiting for a reply. and boy it had better be good. I cant remember your name but thanks whoever it was that said she may be Diabetic. That info helped us alot.
  8. Hi my 8 year old daughter has Autism. Which if anyone knows, an Autistic person will not tell you if they feel well or not. What im trying to say is im really worried about her. My Husband took our daughter to the doctors on 14-09-06 and the doctor said she was ok but may be getting over a sore throat? Over the last 4 weeks she has lost alot of weight, maybe about a stone or two? all her clothes hang on her now instead of being skin tight. she isnt eating alot! whereas she would eat lots. she looks drowsy all the time but she says shes not tired. The only thing we have done different is stop buying crisps and chocolate bars and biscuits. Any mother will know what i mean when i say "i know theres something wrong but im not sure what"? The doctor has said if she the same in a weeks time bring her back. What then so he can say no shes ok still. Am i being silly???? All the family has noticed how much weight she has lost. Is there anyone who can tell me anything????? thanks A worried mum
  9. Hi i finally gave the form to my family gp to fill in for the blue badge. Got it back today and wasnt impressed with the answers he had put. My dr hasnt seen my daughter for over 6 years and he doesnt know her. He had put that she doesnt have problems with walking and that she is like any other 7 year old child.... If my doctor knew my daughter he would know that having this badge would really help her. I really dissagree with the form and now dont think we will get the badge for my daughter.. If only he had to take her out in his car for maybe an hour he would soon change his mind.
  10. Question??... Ive been told i could get ff for my daughter but my husband earns over 35000 a year before tax... does that mean i wouldnt get it?? also what is the online address for ff?? Help would be nice...
  11. Last week i got the forms for the blue badge. The man that gave them to me told me that i would have to get my doctor to fill in part of the form. The only problem i have is that my doctor hasnt seen my daughter for over 5 years for her problems. My daughter sees a piadatrition and not my gp. What do i do?? Is there anyone who could help me with this question???? Do i send them to the doctor my daughter sees or the doctor who hasnt a clue?? But will the doctor fill them in correctly? or say that my daughter doesnt need a blue badge when i think it would help her?? also me a great deal when i go to shops n places with my daughter...
  12. Hi ive posted an intro on here before. My daughter who is 6 was waiting to hear weather she can get DLA... Just want to say to all the people waiting for anwser. Be patient and wait. Thats what i did which was VERY hard but we did get a reply last week to say that my daughter is able to get help with DLA. Im so happy as that money will help me buy the things that will help my daughter with her autism and learning problems.
