Thanks for your replys i really appreciate them I have managed to get her to school the last two days by taking her into school myself, instead of her getting the transport provided for her . Karen

She is under a psychiatrist and will be starting cognitive therapy soon, if they have enough staff with medication as second choice . She does get teased by idiots regularly ,I tell the school about it and they are helpfull . But now she just says I am not going and starts screaming and swearing when I mention school . I never thought to try the education welfare people I think I will give them a ring tommorow .Thanks for the support. Karen PS I dont know any of the other parents

My DD(12) is now at her 3rd high school . It is a mainstream with a social and communication unit . She now says she wont go there as she hates it . She says she does not like anyone there , and I have to try and get her out of the door kicking and screaming . I am really fed up of this cr**P . Any one else had problems like this. Karen

Hello Rob, I read your post with great interest. I am starting to come to the same sort of conclusions myself. I have been past around by doctors and had no help so I am trying to toughen up with her and not take so much horrible behaviour, saying that she called me a c**t this morning. She hasn't been attenting school due to bullying and I think that has helped but she is going to be starting a new nearer to home school shortly so I am afraid the terrible behaviour will get bad again. She calls us stuff like rapist at the top of her voice it is so mortifying, I hate to think what the neighbours will think. But I am trying to stand my ground and wont leave her alone till she talks to me decently and doesn't hit me.Halleys comet she has an genetic medical condition that she takes medicine for and i dont want her taking to much medicine. The cord was tightly round dds neck and she was grey and floppy She was taken away and put in special care unit in an incubater for a day. Karen

I had a argument with my Mam yesterday because she said people with aspergers are not autistic they have a autistic spectrum disorder. Apparently some new american book said so. I got her to to phone up the N A S society who backed her up. I find this very confusing as I prefer to say dd has mild autism as many people dont know what Aspergers is. Just wondered what people thought. Karen

Hello, I took my dd out off school because she was having a horrible time with bullying etc. I want her to go to a near by school that has a asd unit attached. I have been informed by the ed psyhc that she must be attenting school to get her educational needs assessed . The place I want her to go she needs a statement for and she can't face going back to old school or starting at a new school just to leave when a statement comes through. So can any one please tell me does she need a to be at school to have a statement done. Karen

My Dad has aspergers and my husband has traits of aspergers my daughter has aspergers so yes I think it is inherated . Karen
