  4. hi i have similar prob with my son i went gps over it and they seemed to think i had nowt to worry about my 5 year old weighs alot more than my 7 year old,and my son seems very weak in his muscles-and wont walk far -no strength ect also when he has been poorly the weight just drops of him in matter of a week..........really noticable my neighbour had suggested complan-when i had a look it seemed expensive for what you got-like 4 sachets in a box i use minadex to try get appiete up when i was younger i was same -so much so i was put in hospital for month or so as they couldnt find out why i wasnt eating enough-they used to sprinkle my food with some powder stuff-for the life of me cant remmeber the name-it was white and my mum had big tubs of it this is going back some years. other than then i try to fill him with snacks little and often -i just changed back to full cream milk-give him lots drinks with it-and lots fromage frais-and stuff i imagine would put some weight on........but hes still thin........he needs constant prompting really to eat.........as it seems it does not come naturally-same with drinking -like the other thread on here. <'> but no i havnt tryed the protien milkshakes. rq xxx
  5. hi guys thought id just post im taking my 2 boys out on day trip tomorrow-to llandudno-on a coach- yep im being rather brave-but help is at hand -i have paied for my neice to join us...and to help out we have not had many holidays or trips like this -as im on my own and find it hard to cope with them -out and about. i have also lent a major buggy from social services for the trips-as it will help out. my boys are excited-bless them-even though it will most likely rain..............i know my asd son will enjoy it in his own way so im going grit me teeth and not be negative............. wed we are doing blackpool my 5 year old has requested to see the seaside... rq xxx
  6. <'> >< <'> >< awwww hope your ok half term always starts ###### usually...lol my son isnt to bad really-apart from stuff like locking me out the back door and going into his bedroom -while i was putting washing out-stood knocking for 30 mins to get back in-wasnt all his fault though -the doors just lock when shut from inside.............but very clumsey-cant turn your back -always somthing happens. it is hard when you are trying to get jobs done round the house..............takes 4 times longer........milatry operation for me is trying to wash car at the front or attempt any gardening.......i get quite upset sometimes how i feel that i cant do anything...i guess u just have to accept it.............. rq xxx

    washing

wow im glad i seen this thread same here always washing-have 2 boys and my son sniffs clothes and wont wear things hes worn once ect ect........... as for ironing thought it was just me who DIDNT do it........ my mums always ironed everything and one of my sisters...they think im awful for not doing it..............i bought my first iron and board when i left home and never touched it hardly...then when i had the boys well it found its way in the shed and never returned. i can not belive the amount of time ironing takes ...i just cant handle it....it takes me days to do washing and even put it away -never mind ironing it............. saying this i may need to find it or get new as my asd son just joined beavers -he hasnt got his neckacheif yet BUT -THE AMOUNT OF TIMES IVE HEAR GREY OWL BANGING ON ABOUT IRONING THEM...i think i may be just shamed into it..........think ill manage that ...lol rq xxx
  19. im no expert but-i had similar probs im on xp my son downstairs on vista-with the vista i was sat for ages and i mean ages trying to do stuff on it i was told it is slower and i had wirless router connected to mine so he could get net through me -im connected to virgin modem. well i had the not been able to watch u tube ect for months plus msn all delayed --was in the end the wirless rotuer so back to shop it went(belkin) got another one-that is designed for virgin-i didnt know certain ones worked better with certain networks.....(netgear) and i had no probs with that except it packed up on me-so back to shop sigh........ongoing saga got a replacwement same one -as apart from it packing up it worked great. rq xxx
  20. ahhhh yes thats what im thinking of the base of the bed sticking out -and headboard...thats why was thinking of divan type....i guess its swings and roundabouts.......just thought id ask before buying? <'> yes my son has mobiltiy issues he would never of been able to use the top bunk ...or even share his room with his brother..........i didnt know all this when i got the bunk beds...........back when he was very small..........and hindsight should not of got meatl or ones that didnt dettach from each other
  21. hi guys as ive redone my sons bedroom to try and create calming room....ive just got rid of his metal bunk beds-that made such a racket-and took up half the room and got in the way........plus when he was in meltdown mode they were a hazzard really. so im looking to get a single bed now..............ive been in one bed shop and my plan was originally to get a plain bed with divan base.............. since woman in shop talked to me ive got all confuesed now which would be best........ there a re some metal ones that dont rock or make noise-built better..........she said these were stronger than divan ones......... then theres wooden type ones but she pointed out he could draw on them and dent the wood and wreck it......... i was thinking better to steer clear of metal again ..............but now have doubts..........because i have 2 boys and they play rough they could easy bang there heads on the metal ...but i guess would be same with wood...............so i was thinking plain divan type....but wondered about them putting them through?? i looked at matteress as well and she had some with no springs in ........and un bouncable which looked good and would never have to worry about springs again...........also less noise of bed..... my son rocks in bed and the other bunk beds we had made a right racket.........i got bunk beds when he was little before i relised he was asd.........so i made mistake there .... so thought id ask what beds you have for your kids?
  22. <'> >< <'> >< sending you some luv,,,,,,,,,,keep strong .....xxx
  23. hi esther thanks for the repy my son has done taekwando i joined him at 5 -he did it for a year-and was very good with it....................we stopped for a couple of reasons -one was the cost-the place we was going i think was pricey-with me having 2 boys -was even more pricy.......the other he had to go 4 times a week on half hour slots......while i pushed him..........into doing it-he really struggled with the changing of clothes and it being after school...ect ect....hustlle bustle-NOW saying that -this was all before he got dx-and we were not using pecs then or time table so you can imagine i was having major battles all the time and it sort of wore me down.............. SO yes i have been thinking of joining him up again some where else and i imagine things would run alot smoother-now we have visual time table and other supports in place thanks for reminded me-yes i agree taekwando is very very good as its not a competive game in the such-and you are very very structed unlike the beavers we went to which does look alot more of a social thing and lots team games .......anyway im going keep at it with beavers as my other son is keen on it but he cant join till 6..........the bonus is its 2 a week for an hour .......and easy to get to ........anyway ill see what happens .... rq xxx
