  1. you know, i would ignore it, dont give it any attention and one day he will start using the cutlery again. Dont turn it into a big deal, because on the grand scale of things it is not. In my experience they will always do the opposite of what you want them to if they sense it is an issue for you.
  2. peaches- what a decision to have to make- trust your heart- it will sit better with you x
  3. lol mumble, Ive had exactly the same. Proffesionals can just be so wrong ! maybe next time he says says this, just say casually, well it is a condition rather than an illness or disease. He probably wont even take any notice, some people are so thick !
  4. Your experience sounds IDENTICAL to ours, even down to the Chief Executive Mark Levy in his response letter getting the name wrong!! WOW.. It has been a year since this happened to us and we have a direct payments package which is a burden in itself.. i am always looking for activities/classes/anything/ for my sons dp workers to take him to during the day.It is hit and miss with it all. let me know how you are doing.lisa
  5. Hi, does anyone know of any day services for autistic adults with severe autism / challenging behaviour in or around London? My 21 yr old autistic son was kicked out of a National Autistic Society Day Service for being challenging, and finding an alternative has been impossible. The NAS wont cater for severely autistic / challenging people. If anyone knows of anywhere I would be very grateful. Many Thanks . Lisa
