  2. Depends. You can still look into it more for yourself. If they say they can't diagnose without this stuff you can't supply, I don't see how to get around that. It maybe that another expert would feel able to do so, however. Best wishes with it!
  3. I don't agree that it is! But that is what the D stands for, in ASD. What's anybody else think?
  4. Hopefully, it will go well- best wishes with it!
  5. Well, a documentary could inform lots of people about Autism, which would be some help. It's also, presumably, about the way Autism is represented on TV, where characters with it are in series, etc
  6. Um, yeah - I used to lie a bit when I was young.... But not about something so easily checked as socks!
  7. I prefer videos made by Aspies & Auties but those could be the basis of a good documentary, in theory! Not having a TV & not having seen much of their representations of it, I can't really comment on that. I didn't find the NAS at all helpful, either, but I thought that was just me....

  9. In general terms, it does depend who you'd be talking to! It's usually good if there's at least a few people with whom you can talk about such things, though
  10. Shnoing is the name of the poster. The forum he suggests is Aspies for Freedom, which is run by Gareth & his wife....
  11. How to learn about Aspergers, in general terms - that's easy enough, google it! But posting in a forum like this one is also good, to find out more about the different ways it affects people. For managing it, that's too broad - it depends which traits most affect you & need managing! Do you stim a lot? Do you have the problems with eye-contact? Meltdowns? Or anxiety? Etc, etc - any one of those could easily generate a lot of ideas about how to manage/ deal with, etc!
