  1. Are you sure she wasn't driving a Citroen? they are terrible cars for that!
  2. I'm the opposite, I can do rubbish in education, but outside of that I excel.... strange...
  3. Yeah bless the drummer, she does well yeah should be aiming for more Zappa really... My biggest Influence is Motorhead, seen them last week, stood at the front, in front of Phil Campbell Live long and prosper to you too my Friend! Bruce,
  4. If it were me love, I'd go in the place and personally give them a rollicking. They didn't have the right to deny your daughter any food or drink throughout that period of time, Legally in any form of any education your child is allowed a break. Also, this victorian approach doesn't work with a lot of ASD's, Its hard for me to find a suitable word to describe it, but Strict, outdated and mono-minded come close enough to describe it. Ask some of the others for where to get help, I'm only a teenager unfortunately and this means i don't know the relevent authorities to contact... However, the school needs to understand that not all your children are the same and that not all ASD's will suit with the same system of things. I think the school is taking a judgemental decision by using a 'one size fits all' approach, which obviously does work, in a sense, as it did with your other two children. I think its a case of you need to work with the school and get some backup to say, 'look stop doing ABC approach with my daughter, can you please take a ZYX route instead as you will get further with her' I think this will make a significant different. anyway good luck and i hope everything pans out ok for you edited cause of a stupid typo
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmO7sfZoLy0 Yeah, quite interesting really, it's good and c*** at the same time!!! Vocalist managed to go OTT somehow.... The drummer was really tired hence the unanimated dead looking human behind the kit! I'm the tall guy playing lefty guitar, cause the room isn't big and the camera was bloomin awful you can't see the bass player very much and the guy who jumps at the end and lands nearly breaking his foot is my second guitarist, LOL Hope you enjoy it! (yeah i have had a slight hair cut, but im growing it long again)
  6. Monk Is legend, absolutely fantastic and yes, i have noticed these whatsits have sometimes bafflingly funny titles lol
  7. Oh chocolate pancakes! that's no good! I think Autism and Asperger's should exist as boundaries, but just not HFA, because all that basically is is Asperger's with speak delay. Let's put it this way. There is a breed of tropical fish called the Zebra danio, now there was another species called the Leopard danio, However, due to the genetics of these fish (zebra's striped, leopards spotted) they found that the leopard danio was just a zebra with a slightly different coding in the DNA which meant they were technically the same fish, so now the leopard danio is a sub-species..... wait.... erm.... yeah LOL
  8. Is it me or do all these different 'categories' I shall say, cause confusion at the time of diagnosis? and as well, can it be argued that we don't technically need HFA and just classify them under AS????
  9. I agree, this method is quite distressing, even to me, and a lot of stuff doesn't bother me but that does (no.2 against the religious preachers... another story mind...) I will agree, as well as others, that I believe that charities such as the NAS need to do more to employ people as a part of the organisation to do the work as they will be more likely to have a better understanding for people with ASD's, families, and to the completely clueless who may not have even heard of Autism. This way people get a better informed decision on whether to donate or not and also the 'chuggers' will know when to stop trying (to me they are too forceful, much like electric suppliers and ritish gas and those other idiots renting films...). this is important to make people feel like they are making a better informed decision for the better of other people rather than feeling that they were coerced and forced into a corner after the money went into the pot. also, i ahve only told one person to F*** off and that was a Sales person for Ilovefilm or something... i wasn't happy as the guy kept trying to force me and the idiots somehow got my email address (???) and spammed me to living hell!
  10. never had it. and I still ended up being AS and I won't go too deep, its one of those subjects where a 'less is more' reply is better. As far as I am concerned, potentially, there isn't a link between Autism and Jaundice, however, we shall see what the research says, I will be interested in the outcome. Now working from a statistical point of view, if there was a direct link or link of some form, surely the amount of Autistic derived people that would have suffered jaundice at some point while young would have been a lot higher??
  11. don't worry about the spelling its cool yeah Me and my fellow band guys reckon this, I mean my guitar cost £170 quid, (they cost more left handed) and I just upgraded some parts on it and it rocks pretty well, perhaps they are jealous. I mean yeah i can't play as fast as them, but speed isn't everything, I am a flexible player and I do pretty well with playing funky soul stuff as well as some classic and heavy rock. Yeah I always keep faith in myself, my music is my life, it's what really keeps me going, i love to play and write new material its just trying to find the appropriate time and place to use my abilities to their full potential
  12. LOL love your answers, you never fail to make me smile Right you have IE8.... if your happy with it then stick to what you know. Now the Cache (think saying moustache sound miss the moust keep the ache bit and add a c sound like ca before ache therefore cache) the cache is a temporary memory reserve for the application (Internet explorer 8) to remember page details, passwords, history etc. Don't worry about what I said too much, It seems it may have something to do with the coding of the website conflicting with a setting on your 'puter. also Try firefox 3.6 as it is very simple, works better with firewalls and remembers passwords, etc with more variations of website coding. Is this making any sense or is it still 'double chocolate chip'? LOL bruce x
  13. Whatever you may do or may want to do, the Psychologist is expecting it and they will be sure to help you in the best and fastest way possible. Greiving is very difficult, it is never easy, but there are people such as the psychologist who are kind and can help during hard times to makes things a lot easier for us to cope with, there's no need to be nervous, everything will be fine. I hope it goes well, Bruce x
  14. firstly, which browser do you use and secondly check your cache, and cookie settings as well as password retention etc, as some browsers are set to clear all details cookies etc as a safety precaution, however you can change this.
  15. not always. as long as it's responsible then that's fine, and depends on your tastes buds, I prefer the taste of double shot jack daniels and coke now and then, and it doesn't kill you, smoking does
  16. the problem is FB is internet based, and although this is covered as Kathryn pointed out in the Govt. guidelines, when it comes to legalities it is sometimes difficult to involve the police in serious cases, (I am talking teenage here) as there are no direct laws covering the internet itself as regards abuse, However, legally standing, people can be charged or dealt with in terms of harrasment, incentive to harm others, stalking etc, via traditional laws, so long as there is evidence to prove this. also, if the issue got very severe and involved physical actions from either party, in this situation the police would likely not prosecute harshly, maybe just a formal caution on the grounds of provocation. still the school has not got an excuse to ignore this bullying and threatening behaviour, the school should be the first port of call for mediation processes in order to rectify the problem, if the issue is not dealt satisfactorally or the child(ren) persists to threaten your child then you have the power and decision to go to the law enforcement community if such action is deemed as needed.
  17. To be fair love it was midnight gone when I wrote it, also I am much more fluid and grammatically correct when on paper. I just seem to forget that spellcheck does automatically correct internet postings. I am on time it's my second guitarist who isn't but admittedly it's not often he's late and if he is it is due to travelling as he travels 30 miles to college each way. I will just avoid her as much as possible, it's for the best, I'm not the only one to take a dislike to her. What really annoyed and frustrated me was the fact I have never encountered such a difficult Aspie girl before. All of the others I met we're great, this one just seems to be like the devil of Aspie's LOL. Also, I would say in recent times I have been bullied as regards the fact I didn't pay over £500 quid for a guitar, which in some people's eyes, makes mine a **** guitar, which may I advocate it isn't and gives the other guitars a run for their money! so I am not pleased about that either. It always makes you feel bad particularly when the kid doing it is like two years younger than me and says 'It's a joke' (typical excuse) and yeah, it was a joke at the beginning of the year, but they drag it on and make it more insulting to me, which is bullying?
  18. What about the lads in this perspective? I'll share the information because i believe it is of benefit to others.... while with my ex girlfriend (the psycho one) our realtionship had broken up twice and i think it was a case of.... Lust, rather than love for both of us, the problem is physically, I am up to speed with my age, however mentally, i am probably not wuite as developed as before, so any ideas we had about intercourse were appealing, but upon reflection and with hindsight Emotionally we both were not ready. this seems to be a general issue with a lot of NT teenagers too, particulalrly under age of consent teenagers. In my situation, it never went all the way, and I'm thankful, very thankful, because i now withold more feelings to give to the right person when i meet them. The problem was things still would get 'heated' and it's at this sort of time you want to ask questions, want to say something, but are too scared to do it. I had questions, i needed advice, but who did i turn too? It certainly wasn't family, i didn't want them knowing what waas going on, i was too nervous about it, and to be fair, its a case of it's my life, shove out policy. I didn't go to the contraceptive youth services at college either, luckily for me i had friends who are the same age as me who are protective and always made sure everything was fine, hence if I had a question, needed advice or contraception as a precaution Just in case... i went to them. they made sure i was fine, and I was but not everyone is in this situation or has the right conditions for it. Mostly with me it was a shyness/trust issue and being scared about revealing things. I think it's hard to overcome this, but in my situation i was dazed and confused, so to speak, about who to go to and what to say. I'm lucky i escaped without making a mistake. I'm glad our relationship ended, it was for a more civil reason that we split, but when the breakup happened again my friends were there to help.
  19. It was a nightmare for me having an NT girlfriend, although she was mentally affected girl, good riddance shes not in my life now... you may have better luck with an AS person, as you will have more chance of understanding each other and how you do things etc.
  20. ... like half strangle the little **** who keeps taking the living daylights out of my Guitar and equipment (and if he aint careful he will get a nice smack over the head with my stratocaster!!!) or the Aspie girl who is a right pain in the rear socket!!!!! I have Always got on with other Aspies but she is so goddamn up herself about everything she really annoys me!!!! Then she has the audacity to not call into college with any reason, thereby, skiving to go to france on friday and weekend with family, while my mates, including my second guitarist, Bass player and others get a right rollicking and rap over the knuckles for being late on occasions which are cused by unforeseen circumstances!!! It's rediculous... How the living hell that girl has ASD i don't know, as far as I know shes just an awkward so and so with an attitude worse than mine!!!! and I can be bad but at least people try and remind me of who is around me and how to behave and such which is fine, but they just let that girl go on and on and on... She's a Bisexual (nothing wrong with that, I'm fine with it) But she uses her attitude and her sexuality in the wrong way which annoys the hell out of people, it's not on, i meet homosexual people all the time and some are good friends and they have always been nice as pie and hold good sttitudes and social behaviour when conducting themselves and intergrating into society, which is great but the girl puts you off Homosexual people shes an ambassador for annoying people to put it politely.... GAHHH :wallbash: Then the stupid country is a mess so i still can't get a job i sent tone of forms off four weeks ago heard nothing so that was a waste of space and time, not happy about that either..... this is gonna be a long week....
  21. While guzzling my lovely new found friend Newcastle Brown i thought, i wonder how many alcoholics or drinkers are asperger's and why that may be? even i don't fully know why i drink the mass comsumption that I do. although i partly blame that on mental issues caused by my ex.... a person who i hate soo much.... But are any of you alcholic consumers? im not saying your an alchy or anything im just curious as to how many ASD's actually go near alcohol at all.... (being a sociologist of sorts it was bound to get to me at somew point) Peace out x

    Very Bad Cat

That's wierd, even for a cat.... Our parrot bites my dad all the time, and My Dad is like the parrot's chosen best friend of the household... anyway Billy bites dad as our species of parrot like to test boundaries and what they can and cant get away with etc. With cats i dont think this is the case, but that's really wierd... Hope your face doesn't swell up too bad and hope it heals swiftly as well as not affecting your eating. <'>
  23. Yeah talking of tinted things, even though i have misplaced them, i used a couple of pieces of yellow acetate paper which did make it a lot easier for me to focus when reading words etc. it is quite a useful trick, but also quite interesting to understand how our minds work better with colour added in.
  24. yeah things do improve as time goes on admittedly... also my mate works at a Tesco and they desperately need staff so i'v filled out the form and he's taken it in so we will see how they take to me saying I am ASD on the application form
