  1. thats the thing, We aint got a cat in hells chance the way it is now. The other month i landed a casual contract matchday job at the Leicester Tigers Stadium, which I am proud to work at... anyway it's typically a 6-8 hour shift so all I get is 35 quid on average per shift, and some months there's only one or two matches so its a case of wow i have 60 quid to live off.. I have to pay for musical Instrument gear and maintanence and that isn't cheap these days... and since its for college its very important... anyway yeah, So much for the garunteed scheme, i think there either needs to be a 'watchdog' or a reform act in order to keep the companies adhering to the regulations from all angles, it won't cure the problem, but it will give Disabled people an edge.
  2. This was to be a reply to Call me jaded's topic about the spending review, however, i felt my contribution warrented it's own topic in order to stop any derailment of 'Jaded's topic. ----------------------------------------- What i find distressing is that there seems to be a lack of real known support for trying to get moderate and Severe disabilities (Whether they be autistic, other mental or physical) into employment. I did some thinking, those who are classed as Disbaled people have a somewhat less chance of gaining some form of employment. Why? I hear you all cry. Well, firstly there's god knows how many unemployed now and that figure is set to increase soon and that means in reality, that the compnay's and employers have the pick of the people, and I am still certain that even though we have legislation in place to enable equality, it is being ignored particularly through the likes of online application forms. you look at some of these internet forms and see how many ask what kind of disability you have. not many ask what type or what the disability is and as far as I am concerned this is the pure reason why many Aspergers, Autistics and other disabled people cannot get jobs, Even if the job suits the capabilities of the candidate (for example, a Wheelchair user completing clerical and office work as opposed to working as a builder). My point? If the government stop cutting funding and stopped cutting this and that and used things wisely, then the state could give support to Disabled people in order to get work as in many respects, this would save the government some money (I know DLA isn't income assessed... yet...) as the disabled people may be able to hold their own and have a bit more dosh to survive on. Discuss.
  3. sounds like your kid is majorly .... annoyed with something other than a computer game. I know its half term (well here anyway) and he might not be at school where there is a problem this week, but perhaps there's something which has been brewing up inside him? I used to get like that myself and still do now, i don't have to be say at work or college but if something has happened it p..... me off then it gets embedded in my mind and then it makes me aggressive in the house and hostile towards in-animate objects (apart from my guitars...) I used to be like that when i was younger and still have influences of it now....
  4. Hi, I had tried linking accounts to FB and it failed epically meaning the creation of a new account which i then ballsed up because i spelt my name wrong lol. so now i'll stick with the account i have, Now i have another problem, im trying to upgrade my avatar to the same as facebook on THIS account and when i paste the link to the image page on FB it wont show the image? how do we get around it? many thanks, Bruce.
  5. Here's the old account to confirm that i tried linking them again and then changing the email to the FB email which failed too, D'oh
  6. I'm an old face around here. I am also Bluesbreaker But FB wouldn't let me link my accounts together so i made a new one which i managed to screw up.... So im now blesbreaker2010 instead of Bluesbreaker2010... so if the mods could help and rectify a simple gone midnight mistake that would be helpful... lol Bruce.

Ah yes down my neck of the woods, 20 miles ish from my house i may go yet, it depends on what money i Have(n't) got, what else is on, all that....
  8. Despite being strong in my ways in 'the heat of the moment' i do always reflect afterwards. I had to do it, if i didn't apologise it would go against everything i know.
  9. Regarding a certain thread the other week I wish to take it upon my own actions to apologise for my inappropriate attitude and etiquate on the forum. It has taken me this long to apologise as I wanted to give time for the situation to dissapate and also to give me time to reflect on my paths of thought on the topic at hand. Also, when i get 'hot under the collar' i like to walk away from the situation so i can calm down reform myself and then resolve/Apologise in an apropriate manner. Upon offending many people i would like to apologise to them for causing any harm. The subject (which i would prefer not to directly refer to by name) is quite a sensitive topic for me and therefore my reactions and responces can sometimes be out of hand. I did not mean to accuse anyone of doing anything and i totally regret how i handled the situation. I would also like to add my thanks to Tally who stepped in and stopped my inappropriate ongoings, without her and people like the mods, forums would become a lawless rant, with no conformity or control. Many thanks, Bruce x
  10. the hint of Monty Python is still about.
  11. okies, i didn't see the thread because i aint logged on in two weeks.... anyway i sent the details to Kathryn.
  12. and i wish people would shut up trying to ram the fact that they are up their own trumpet and that they are right onto me, if they dont like what i say then tought t*ts as far as i care, like it or lump it i aint got time for NT's who think they know everything about ASD's because, guess what? they dont know. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:
  13. most universities off a part time version of most courses. contact the student services departments outlining the help you may require and see what they turn up with in advice.
  14. the ex re surfaced AGAIN GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAGHHHHHHHHHH -.- I thought i left the stupid B**ch Behind me and out of my life but Nooooooo she decides its fun and sensible or her mates did to send a text by Her mums phone and tell me my best mate went round her house the other night and there was some 'close' behaviours (wont describe here)... Iv tried tracking it, then thats unleased a can of womrs amongst 10 of my friends and now i wont talk to them, as a result no one else is talking to me, yet it aint there problem O.o Two exams tommorrow as well, happy and not happy i need to revise and change my bike tyre cos its faulty AGAIN..... And i ran out of beer!!!!!!
  15. thats what i meant, it would drive me looney i hate repeating myself at the best of times, particularly if i am in a CBA mood, lol. and im the same i still take a lot of things the wrong way but more so if its on MSN or via email and then that can throw an entire mood.....
  16. I understand what Jaded says and also what trekster said about meltdowns. Sometimes i am the same and if it is a severe 'tantrum' to give it a shorter commonly known name, then i will show behaviours similar to that of my ASD cousin, so dont dismiss it just yet, but granted as tally said it does also depend on their care requirements too which i fully appreciate. I said it would do my head in because you are around it all the time 24/7 and it would do your nut in (i commend those who tolerate such conditions as part of their job, i take my hat off to you) and i think people would agree that you would miss the company of NT people, i certainly would.
  17. yeah? well they seem to put us in a bad light, id rather have representation which shows both sides of the fence, those who have it bad and the others who need less help....
  18. I agree, No offence to anyone on here at all, but i get on fine with fellow aspergers people, but when it boils down to Autistics (like i mean DX of classic autism) and stuff im normally either trying to resist ripping out my hair or shouting my head off in frustration...... i aint got time nor the patience for anything other than NT's and AS's if i was to live with them for s short period of time. sorry for being like that and sorry if it gets to people, but i much prefer AS's and NT's in a living situation on a permanent basis
  19. i wish i could be on a TV programme just to show this goddamn hole of a country what hidden disabilities are out there (particularly mentally around Autism) and i would love a camera crew to interview me/film me/ follow me live sleep whatever, just to prove that we are not all the same, we do have disabilities in this world and how it affects different people, in particular, my care and support needs are different from the next aspergers guy who may be sitting next to me, y'know what i mean? hope some goof for the bbc sees this, contact me, im interested, just to show the world how wrong it is.
  20. whys that a bad thing? i have no money cos i buy model railway engines with it, but i have loads of mates
  21. Yes but if there are going to be severe cut backs in what i get i will be slightly better off using any income i can get. slight addition: isnt it dependent on whether you can cook a meal from scratch? mother mentioned it to me before..... i might have heard wrong
  22. i Hope to have an income by that point, if someone employs me......
  23. interested to know why they would do that, so do they see us as a non human species from working class backgrounds? (i know literally tory families and they are, lets say, wedge in some form somewhere upwards! lol)
  24. And why beat about the bush and not go straight with it?
