  1. I hope you are ok Sarah. Please stop drinking, which is what I would advise firstly, because it sounds you were doing so well. You are sounding to me that your actions are because you don't think very highly of yourself. It does sound that you are self harming. I am really concerned that you are sounding so low. I haven't been able to read all detail of your post because I am dyslexic, but if you are suicidal go for help. I too have mental health and pain issues, so can relate a bit. I have fear of authority, so avoid them, which is what gets me in trouble. The thing you need to start to do is think better about yourself. Any tiny thing is a start. This is really hard to do. But do things that are positively challenging rather than negatively destroying. You could start by looking at your post and trying to look at some that you are seeing as negative and twist it around to view it as positive. For example, being able to travel is positive, especially if this is very hard for you to do. It is an achievement. I hope this helps. There are other sites that might be better than this one that could support your emotional needs. Saneline is a good site that might give you better emotional support. Best wishes and look after yourself DB x
  2. Sorry to hear of your difficulties. You've had quite a three month journey. It is a concern you have started drinking again. I'm going through my own nightmares, which involve authorities too and so I'm no help to anyone right now and can't come on here much as I am too exhausted. I have the same feeling though, where everyone just leaves you with no information, so haven't a clue how to cope with it, or what is going on. But I just wanted to give you a response. It is not nice out there right now for some of us. Wishing you well DB x
  3. Can't help you much, but I can understand problems of transitions. I am in my 40s, but have been quite isolated for years so I really haven't been able to go through any transitions. When I get out of isolation properly, I'll just go back to what I know (mid 20s). I'll probably get arrested
  4. I have the same feelings. But I feel more in tune with people younger than me, if I had a choice between ages. Looking back, I was not able to know my own abilities to go any faster, but I have taken on everything that came as an opportunity, so have achieved quite a bit, which would be probably more than others would. Everything I have achieved though was much later than others.

    VOTING DAY

I voted yes today. Main reason I voted yes is because the voting system does need to change and this might be the only time we get a chance, even if AV is still not quite there and a bit complicated to grasp I get it enough to make a choice.
  6. Wow you had a great spot mumble. I went too. I had the same worries, but thought I'd go and see how I did (part of my challenge list). I went a few days in the week to get a feel first. I didn't end up with a great spot but was still great to experience. I never saw Will and Kate at all. I did see the queen and Harry and Kate's sister on the balcony. I am very please with my achievement and I am a royal fan. The first I have ever been to.
  7. I have never seen a ghost, but I do have sensitivities that allows me to identify something wrong about a person or place. A house I used to live in with my family, a bedroom used to always give me really scarey feelings, like a darkness and the feeling of a presence. I found out after we left the house that one of my sisters had the same feelings, but we didn't know at the time we both felt it. The memory of it is still very powerful, extremely dark
  8. I have attempted CBT but it did not achieve much. I seemed to need to try and understand the emotions and all the questions, which seemed a barrier. I can only provide my own experience. I also have had other therapies that they only do for a particular time and then it is stopped due to time allocated was over. The best therapy I have had, regarding a trauma was from a college counselor, who offered me free counseling in the summer break and also did it to my instructions. I even was allowed to tape it, so I could listen to it back, so could absorb it, by hearing it back. There definitely does need to be some ability to adapt for how someone may need to overcome something and I think we all will differ with need, depending on how we have structured our own coping stategies. There has been a promise that we will get better services and that they will be providing toolkits as one thing to help improve things, but am unsure what this actually means as it just looks like a lot of words to me, but seems to be recognising that some adaptation is needed. http://www.dh.gov.uk...eases/DH_125770 I am also still waiting 4 months later for my local council to get back to me about how they plan to implement the autism bill within services. Seems all very cagey at the moment.
  9. Hello, Just for interest, I remember my school reports saying my writing was tiny, I was quite timid at school, but also very conforming. I have been diagnosed in mature adulthood with AS and dyspraxia and dyslexia, so went through the whole of school without knowing, which the writing might be linked to a coping strategy. Perhaps quicker to write, but also perhaps to do with movement. I know by the school reports that I took a long time with work and would look in a dream, so it just might be part of the whole coping. In adulthood I actually use a pencil due to needing less grip. I too have had a trauma, which is where I ended up with diagnoses, due I think it dismantled some of my coping strategies, so what you're saying has similarities to my own case. Thought this may help <'>
  10. Yes, I filled mine in as soon as I got it for the same reason. As long as they get it. I did put a comment about not disclosing something though, about my religion. I think it does say optional on the form, I hope it said optional on the form
  11. Well done smiley . It sounds to of been a fun day. You know you will be hooked now , just like me (It's a good thing to get hooked on walks/runs I think)
  12. Well done!! Er, what did you present? I am waiting to pop a cork or two to celebrate your achievement. It does sound like a biggy
  13. Thanks Tally. I have tried to look to see if some of the runs I have booked and paid for are contributing some of the proceeds to a particular charity, but can't seem to find any information on the sites, but may contact them to find out. I am assuming that ones like the BUPA runs would give proceeds to a particular charity(ies), so I might be contributing, which will be great if so .
  14. I did my 10k run/walk, at the weekend did better in the time this time (19 seconds less) . I wish I could do them for charity, but don't really know how to set that up. I get a sense of achievement, but would love to do it for charity so it leads towards more than my own achievement. Don't know anyone though to get sponsers. Go for it smiley. I think your cause is a very good one too. Good luck.
  15. I've just done a 10k run today, in the rain. It did feel like an achievement. My time was 1 hr and 11 minutes, not very fast, I was nearly last over the line. I did one in November last year and did better at that one than today's one, which I finished it in 1 hr and 6 minutes. I think the difference is because today had hills and I had to walk. I had to go to bed when I came back today. The one in November I ended up injured and had to walk with a walking stick for a while to keep the weight off my hip. I wasn't injured this time I have booked on '8' 10k runs, so running for every year I have been in isolation, so running these for quite personal reasons. I hope this will be the last year though of being in isolation. I have paid for them so that I know I have to go and try them, but I am happy to just finish and get a medal for finishing. My challenge is to finish 6 more to do. Next one is next week!
