Ok, York on the 9th August it is Dunno where though Anyone know York well? Like KarenT, I've been to the railway museum (which would be fab for kids that are coming), how would the adults coming alone feel about it? KarenT, put J in his karate kit anyway I know a couple of nice Italian restaurants, but not really kiddie friendly. York Dungeons? Anyone know any nice parks? But weather may be naff, so may be best to plan for rain

All our plans have been reshaped, even down to discussion about our wills (if she outlives us), which is so scary at our age......but we have to think about the future in a way our friends don't. We are fortunate though, because youngest DD can communicate well and is toilet trained, so I can't imagine how painful it must be for you.
