  1. Hi Sweety Great to have you on board - my eldest son (N) has AS, he really is struggling at school. The Teachers really do not appear to want him there! Would love to hear your views on how you see certain things in life and how best to help children with AS. Billy
  2. Oh why did I make N aged 6 with AS take part in sports day - I know why - I wanted him to fit in with everyone else and it didn't work. I lost my temper, he got distressed, the whole school and parents saw the performance and now I feel guilty and worried about how this will affect his last few days at school. He is still only allowed to attend half days and I cannot see a light at the end of the tunnel - any advice.
  3. Hi everyone I'm Billy and have just joined. I have two children - aged 5 and 2 and a great husband. Number 1 son was diagnosed with AS a year ago and is struggling at school. He is nearly at the end of Year 1 and still only attend school until 1.30 pm as they stay they cannot cope with him. We have managed to get a 15 hour per week statement which hopefully will help - but not today let's say. Does anyone have any idea about help me with a child who is very bright and articulate but must have everything his own way or he loses his temper big time (just one of the main problems we are having). Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Hi, I cannot believe this. I am a new member (today) and have a 6 year old son with Asperger Syndrome and am at my wits end with his appalling school behaviour - I couldn't care less about a disability allowane or a carers allowance - we just want a little bit of normality regarding his school life. I could smack her one!!
