Type your letters into google and read about it; that should seem pretty obvious. -

Yes, I appreciate what you are saying, but I assume the HR teams consult psychologists on how to perform the tests. Blindly administering a test without professional guidance would be silly; no HR team would dream of doing that. -

Myers Briggs is used in job interviews, and for this reason I would argue it becomes even more relevant. Business' don't waste money. If they see the Myers Briggs as a potential profit enhancer, then I see this as a good indicator of it's usefulness. -

But on the other hand, my perceiving function allows me more room to accommodate detail in my work, than would be the case if I was J. The flip to this is a neglect of deadlines. -

Lucky girl. If I was a J, I would get much more work done. I am guessing, considering you don't have significant mental ailments, that you are ambitious, hard-working and you feel a need for closure which helps you to complete tasks and goals to a high standard. Is this true for you also Skimrande? -

Yes, the qualitative diagnostic tools are simplistic; although it is important to diagnose people with 'something' nonetheless so they can access appropriate help. Biologically speaking, your comments on chromosomes is interesting, I will look into it. I take a great interest in neuroscience, the abundance or lack of neurotransmitters, the abundance or lack of receptors and re-uptake pumps (not to get too technical) can explain allot concerning various cognitive, mental ailments/differences. For example schizophrenia has been speculated to be a result of an excess of dopamine in certain areas of the brain. Robert Sapolsky's lectures on youtube may be of interest to you. My friend is an INTJ scientist. -

I though many people would have taken this already. Was anybody previously aware of it? There is huge amounts of information on each type online, I personally find it perpetually interesting. -

Have any of you folk had any experience with the Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator? I am interested whether there is a link between personality type and asperger's. You can take the questionnaire here: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp I score INTP. -
Has anybody had experience with this? I am specifically interested in what you Aspie individuals scored on the assessment. Here is a link to the test: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

I attended University to study a foundation course in mathematics and engineering; for about a year before this I had been working on my own curriculum which I was attempting to study concurrently with the curriculum of the university. Eventually I became overwhelmed and irritated by the work-load, and I perceived some of my assignments to be pointless, irrelevant and a waste of time. As my stress levels grew I started to seek self-medicating coping strategies so I bought 500/10mg valium tablets on the internet along side 4 very strong opium pills (oxycodone or oxycontin?) and subsequently went to class high on several occasions making a total fool of myself. As a result of this I was drawn into various counselling sessions as requested by my course leader. After 6 weeks of being high constantly and not going to class I just sat out the rest of the term without doing any college work and subsequently dropped out. Anyway my counsellor and course leader suggested I may have Asperger's syndrome, so I was appointed to a specialist at the university and diagnosed after 1 hour. My concurrent mental conditions which came to the fore at university (came to the fore under stress) are depression, anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, occasional very elevated moods and constant eccentricity. I am currently un-employed, although I seek a career in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, neuroscience, political science, economics, electronic/electrical engineering, computer science. Who said aspies only have a few interests? I attempt to study everything at once which is probably why I am insane. A bit of a ramble this so do what you will with it.

I have been accused of baiting, annoying and inflaming people deliberately, lately on this forum. I will not comment on my opinion regarding this, although I would like to know if they can be symptomatic of people with Asperger's Syndrome. Are they traits of sociopathy or geocentricism or narcissism or just AS?

According to some of the reactions I get on this forum, I'd say I am a trouble maker and I do honestly enjoy annoying people with minority opinions and views even if I don't necessarily hold them. The reason for this is that I believe to fully understand another's view point I must put them under intellectual pressure. One can only see fractures of an argument when the vessel of the argument is under strain. So in conclusion, am I really a trouble maker? or am I simply attempting to understand other people in what I believe to be a methodical and efficient manner? and if this is the case, is it fair to chastise
