My grandson B is 2. His language is fab, he knows colours and shapes. Fine so far, BUT he lines everything up and gets very upset if his lines are disturbed, has an obsession with thomas the tank, dora and hoovers. He will only eat bananas if they are not broken have no marks or that stringy stuff from the peel on them. I havent said anything to my daughter, but am i being TOO observant? you can say what u like in reply to this post, i wont be offended, i have a VERY tough skin.

i sympathise - my 12 yr old never goes to sleep before midnight sometimes its 2 in the morning and i hear him wandering around then he wakes at 5 and goes downstairs to watch tv. He has never been a great sleeper though he takes after me in that respect. Once his 10 yr old sister gets off shes ok she usually goes around 10. both actually go to their bedrooms at 8.30 though, theyre quite good like that.

Luckily (or not for her!), my friend has a child with dyspraxia so he has some of T's problems, its relatives i have trouble with, specially grannies. They say stupid things like well noone had that when we were young! ppl with autism were locked up in institutions in their day for gawds sake!. Another good one is look at me and give me a kiss! Im lucky if ive had 6 kisses in the whole of his 12 years! You have to laugh dont you?

got aphone call from my brother today to say my dad has colon cancer, we dont speak (long story), but im very sad for him but numb at the same time. Dont know how to feel really, wierd situation

the same here im afraid. ive got a daughter who is loving yr 6 after hating the first 5 years lol and tom who just hates school full stop. Today he went out of the door with new gloves. I went to take ellie to school and when i got back he was wandering up the road again, i said what happened and he said i lost my gloves!!!. He'd got to school realised hed lost them and walked all the way home again looking for them!. H e was freezing cold, i sent him back to school again but he didnt find the new gloves! That is the 6th pair this year and three hats too!

god why does it have to be sooo awful. I hate haircut time, Tom will only let them use the scissors and not the shaver, so it takes forever to cut it, his hair is very thick and curly. I would let it grow but it grows out like a bush!

the optician reckoned Tom has colour blindness but i havent seen any evidence of it. I dont think he explained the tests clearly enough, he just said can you see a picture in these dots. durrrr so tom said no, he could only see dots. lord
