wow my daughter who is not diagnosed as but i think has some traits - is just the same, i cant count the amount of times ive stepped on her feet cos shes been standing right next to me, or the times i couldnt move in a tight space cos shes been glued to my side. shes 10 now and i dont think she will ever get the concept of personal space. we have to keep asking her to take a step tp the side all the time lol

Viper i am going through the menopause. I had hysterectomy at 42 and went straight onto hrt, but cos of bad migraines doc took me off them 4 months ago. I have been suffering badly with sweating, specially through the night. I do have insomnia but have had it for 6 yrs or more now. hey ho life gets better for women dosent it!!!!!

We were in the supermarket and tom has been studying me for ages, not wanting to prompt him for fear of what he would say i left well alone. he waits till we get in the checkout to say, mom youve got hairs hanging out of your nose. well thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would tell her outright that is she cannot accept yr son as he is then she would have to stop seeing him, its not fair to let her bully you as she is. perhaps she sees the similarities and dosne like it. but hey ho, your son should not have to put up with these comments. my mil told my son to hold up his head in a room full of ppl, i soon told her. she shut up like a clam.

Yep i know. We had suspected tom had aspergers all along, but it wasnt till we had the diagnosis that it really hit us. I thinit s cos youre hoping against all odds that its not. I didnt want to label him either, but really the diagnosis makes no difference to yr lives, it just means u get help (hopefully!), and u can claim any benefits he is entitled to.

yes i agree with Viper. He gave up a good job to be on bb, and lets face it, even though he has a BHons, he will still find it hard to get another job. You have to do an interview first which is where i think he and most of our kids would fail, genius's or not. or in his case Eugenius!!
