  1. I checked the Optomen site and had a look at their productions and couldn't find a single one with any content of quality, quite the opposite if what I saw was anything to go by; trash mostly.
  2. Emma you're coming across like a recruitment agency.

    Claiming ESA

I'd agree with you there, mine was a late diagnoses three years ago to be exact.
  4. Pari

    Claiming ESA

Due to a complete meltdown at work I started claiming it approx 30 months ago and yes it is backed by a complete medical history as a result I was not asked to attend. Another company is taking over the medical assessments due to the incompetence of ATOS in my area at least if not nationwide eventually. I don't think you are being nosey at all feel free to ask what you want. Information is only useful when shared.

If it was me I'd call CAB and ask them to assist you in the form filling process they have a welfare rights expert who works for them and these people are the experts on these forms. Call them tomorrow and see what they say

Ok stop for a minute and tell me is there a welfare rights group locally or CAB or an advocate service ? Which part is getting to you?
  7. Pari

    Claiming ESA

Not everyone is asked by ATOS to attend a medical, I wasn't this was due to my inability to cope with certain situations such as noises, I'm hypersensitive, and anxiety levels.

    Claiming ESA

It's been quite a while since I claimed it but any help or advice I can offer you're welcome to.
  9. Remember looking up a telephone directory for someone's number? All of the numbers I read until I found the right one remain in my memory to this day and by now a lot if will be useless information. As you say some of it is useful, and some not so much.
  10. I'd happily swap mine for something less. The only time it was really useful was on the one occasion I gave evidence in court against a car thief.
  11. Laddo I like your thinking on this one it's an excellent idea and I hope it grows as you would like it to.
  12. I have around 1500 cd's at home and if anyone asks me to borrow something I can tell them exactly where it's positioned on the shelf, same with books. Nothing is listed alphabetically just placed where I put them at the time back when.
  13. @Pari Do you also remember what people say or is it just visual? Conversations from years back I can remember word for word. No matter how hard I try to shut it all out it's impossible.
  14. For me it has to be memory I can remember the content of books I read as a child page for page every single word. What someone was wearing on a particular day in reality or a movie, all the cars I passed on a journey colours and registrations, clean or dirty. Most days I try to shut it all off as it's too much.
