  12. Simular to Enid's post, however my son was signed off sick by our GP. Its all a very personal decision and to be honest down to the individual child. Clare x x x
  13. I have swam in the artic I have never gone skinny dipping !
  14. Karen, Can't agree with Kelly more, I think it is imperative that you give a full and frank description giving a clear illustration of your son's condition, I remember remarking on the application form that austisim is a life long condition without cure or recovery. My son gets High Rate Care and low mobility. Oh yeah, love the Stephen Hawkings bit, so true so very true Hope you are feeling a little better about things today, might be worth giving the subject a break for a couple of days to re charge your batteries and look at your application again with fresh eyes. <'> <'> <'> Clare x x x
  15. What a brave young man you have there, bless him for going to school, must have take a great deal of effort and courage. Poor lad is obviously suffering though and I am not surprised he is "clingy" and not wishing to sleep alone. I truly hope you get something sorted real soon, so that your child can enjoy his childhood rather than living in terror. <'> <'> <'> Clare x x x
  16. Hiya... hopefully by now that dreaded assessment is finally over. Hope everything went OK Clare x x x
  17. Hi Esty, A very warm welcome to the forum, I hope you find this place as much as a God send as I did and still do. I can identify with a lot of what you are saying, my son ended up being out of school for all of year 8 and some of year 9. With the help, support and encouragement of this forum I have managed to battle long and hard for my son's education, I am pleased to report that in November he started a school specifically for children with aspergers and he is going from strength to strength and will be choosing his GCSE options this summer. Clare
