    Goodbye

Thanks for all your advice in the past Its good to see that you dont need the forum any more
  2. soraya

    What would you do?

Thinking of you both on Tuesday <'> <'>
  3. A friend for Nick, he is so desparate to have a few friends. Education that does not have to be fought for, we should have the best that is out there for our kids, and not have to go through the big fight with the LEA
  4. I just heard today that one of our local schools was organising a prom for the leavers of the primary school, l could not believe it how stupid!!!Kis are made to grow up too quickly, year 11 yes, all part of growing up, year 7 NOOOOOOOOOOO

Well done you two, its gives hope to us all, enjoy the hols Bard you need the rest.
  6. Havent been very active on the forum as l have been working lots. Just to say we are going on our annual hols on Friday so l wont be around, we are going to France, and Nick will be able to do loads of fishing so he should be okay, l just have to hope and pray that DS and DH dont kill each other as they tend to argue a lot!!!!!!
  7. How worrying for you, l expect he is just trying to push the boundries to see how far he can get. I wouldnt worry too much tonight, l am sure he will have a lovely time and forget about things. I always find that after a meltdown my son is very calm, so l expect that is what happened when he went for a walk. Sending lots of <'> <'>
  8. Glad you ad such a lovely time you all deserve it <'> <'>

    Meltdown

Enid, sorry only just seen this addition, what is DS like when you call the police? is he sorry afterwards? Sorry not much advice but l really do know what its like, to feel frightened of your own child is the worst feeling in the world, The last time Nick pinned me on the floor and would not let me go for 20mins, l really thought he was going to strangle me, and l was so frightened, l called the police and asked them to keep him for a few hours, l then didnt speak to him for a couple of days, and l must say it worked for a few weeks!! I too wish you lived nearer as you need a proper hug and TLC, oh yes and lots of

  11. When will the LEA sort out schools for our poor kids, l know just how you feel, my son is very high functioning, but socially is awfull, he is at an EBD school which is totally unsuitable but there is nowhere else for him to go. We have had the police out loads of times, so l really do know how you feel. Have a lovely day off today, but please dont give up the fight, getting a statement is the first hurdle. sending lots of <'> <'>

Hi Enid/Hev only just caught this thread due to the lovely day out yesterday. Enid, Nick was 12 when he started running away, whenever he was uncomfortable in a suituation he just legged it, it is so worrying, but in the end we said to him if he feels like running dont just escape, let us know, and he would go off with his mobile , with the promise that he would answer it and that he would only go for an hour. This worked most of the time although l really worried about him it was better than him just running away. Now he is nearly 15 he is much better although he still has to have his own space a lot of the time. Its funny Nick always used to run to the beach, maybe it has something to do with the waves!!!Oh yes l would love to run away with you and Hev, we could leave the boys on a remote beach somewhere!!!!Just off to start packing
  13. If your DH claims he should get it, you have to earn no more than 95.00 per week after deductions

Hi Enid, Social services gave me direct payments so l could employ someone to help out with Nick, it helps a lot as he gets taken out 3 times a week which relieves his bordem. The MP helped me get a statement for Nick by writing nasty letters to the director of education!! I think Hevs MP helped with education. Glad all is calm tonight <'> <'>
  18. Hi Cat can l please join ? Sorry only just picked up this thread will pm my email address. Thanks there is a lot of us that need this as our darling AS kids turn into monsters during puberty

Enid, you poor thing, Nick used to do the same crazy things at 12 so l do know how it feels, having a total stranger have to help you control your child is a nightmare. You must phone SS and tell them about him lying in the road, he is at risk and if they dont listen go to your MP we did this and the MP was fantastic and l know that Hev also went to her MP.You need help fast before he hurts himself. Your son reminds me so much of Nick, he also is really funny about the front seat of the car, if he doesnt sit in it there is hell to pay!!! You are not alone, sending lots of <'> <'> <'> <'>
  20. Elun you are doing a fantastic job, and you have every right to feel fed up from time to time, you do it because you love your child and have no other choice. Ask your social worker about direct payments then you could employ someone to come in and help. sending lots of <'> <'>
  21. So pleased for you both, great news
