Good news! I received a letter this morning saying that I'm entitled to Carer's Allowance. That's a huge weight of my shoulders now.

Yessssssssssss! Finally got backdated arrears paid into my account yesterday! So I went on a totally mad spending spree for me & the kids!

Well folks, good news at last! I finally got word back on my appeal & my DS has been awarded the middle rate of the care component. I am so relieved & happy as I really thought that we would get knocked back again. Unforunately we didn't get the mobility component but I'm going to appeal again for that. I'm also now going to apply for Carer's Allowance.

Aaron is a definete licker & sniffer! He's always creeping up behind us & licking us! When I asked him why he does it he just says "it's because I love you"!

I'm having a tough time with my DS at the moment. He was diagnosed about 2 months ago now & the change in his behaviour is increasing so much. I don't know how many times he has reduced me to tears with his constant naughtiness & cheek. I feel as if I'm hitting my head off a with him. I hate punishing him so much by constantly putting him in his room & taking away his X-Box & other toys but I know it's the only way to get through to him! He is only 6 & I'm so worried as I know that as he gets older things could get worse. He gets up to all sorts of ###### at school. As I keep his condition to myself, I am so fed up with the looks I get off the other parents! I feel like punching them all as the majority are so ignorant & are quick to judge when they know nothing at all. Most of their kids are badly behaved mostly because of themselves. My DS has a condition thru no fault of his own. I really wish these parents would understand that. Totally makes me soooo !

I'm still waiting on word about Aaron's Appeal. Seems to be taking ###### ages! If we win the appeal will they backdate the DLA to when I first applied for it?

I got word back today on my DLA Appeal for my wee boy & all they said was that they cannot give me a decision yet on the appeal because they have requested a report from his school! I thought that they would have already asked for a school report when I first applied? This is totally doing my head in! God knows how much longer I'm going to have to wait!!

Well I got a letter back today(after waiting about 8 weeks) saying that my son has been knocked back from DLA! I was half expecting it but it really pissed me off! I mean what the hell do these people know? The reasons they gave me are totally unbelievable! They said that he doesn't need help throughout the night! He does as I have to get him up at least 3/4 times to go to the toilet as he wets the bed. I don't know how many times I stated that in the ###### stupid form! I feel as if I'm hitting my head off a Well first thing Monday morning I'm going back up to the CAB to put in an appeal! Hopefully then I may get some luck! What really gets me is that there are folk out there who get DLA that shouldn't get it There's kids like my wee boy that don't & get overlooked! The system totally stinks! It makes me so !

How do you get carer's allowance?

I am left handed & apart from writing & holding the phone with my left hand, I use my right hand for everything else. I've never had any problems. Although I do remember when I was in Primary 2 my dragon of a teacher tried to make me write with my right hand. She used to pick on me every day & made my life hell! I remember she would hit my left hand with a ruler so that I couldn't use it & always try to humiliate me! My mum went ballistic & nearly punched her! I ended up being moved to another class which was great! Though I did get her again the following year but she was well & truly warned! She left soon after that. I did eventually get my revenge on the ###### years later! When I was in Primary 7 we went to a residential school down in The Borders for 2 weeks with another school. Guess who their teacher was?? Yep it was her! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her! All my Christmas's came at once! My mum warned me too be good! Yeah right! Anyway what goes around comes around & I made her life sheer hell for 2 weeks! Justice or what!! It was great!!
