cmuir Report post Posted May 4, 2007 Hi My 5 year old has AS and has sensory issues issues. I've noticed he loves sensory type items eg looking at his plasma ball. Just wanted to share the fact that I've found something really cool for his room. It's called moon in my room and I bought it from ebay for around 20. It's widely available on the web including: http://www.find-me-a-gift.co.uk/moon-in-my...CFQOHlAodJwvUUw It's a remote controlled battery powered wall light. It goes through the 12 phases of the moon. Robert is fascinated by it! Caroline.
Bagpuss Report post Posted May 4, 2007 I really like that Caroline! When we move I'd like to add some sensory equipment to our dd's rooms. I've been looking into lights etc for a while now because when we go to a local support group, our youngest dd absolutely loves the lights in the sensory room. cmuir Report post Posted May 12, 2007 Hi I've been getting really carried away with myself buying things for Robert's new bedroom - we're moving house in 2 weeks time! He'd like a space themed bedroom, so I've tried to choose sensory-type items. Other than the moon in my room, found these too (and are very reasonably priced): Ikea ceiling light http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv...mp;pageNumber=2 Stars, moon and planet shaped mirrors (lots of other shapes too!) http://www.sendmeamirror.com/products.php?cat=17 Caroline. Did you have to post the mirror website? I have just looked at it and can see a spending spree looming We are moving to a new house too, so is a good excuse Keep smilin Elly
