Durham to London is a long daytrip, what if he falls asleep and ends up in Inverness? If Bagpuss hasn't booked accommodation, then maybe we could change to 14th, but if she has, then it'll have to be the 7th. How old will your poor, neglected forgotten daughter be on 7th? I just have to make sure I don't go on any boats or ships - I took them to see a ship a bit like the Cutty Sark yesterday and DS2 freaked almost as soon as we got on it. So about �15 (including my sister and niece) wasted for about 5 mins total time on ship - and I didn't get to have a proper look as I was trying to calm little one down. He also freaked out when we got off bus - I think he wanted to get back on again, and every bus he saw afterwards caused him to create. I'll probably have to find an ice-cream shop and stay there! David Matthew Baker Report post Posted May 13, 2007 (edited) I've done Birminham New Street and back in a day before and time wise London isn't actually that much different. It is on an easier line too so no I won't have any problems doing that. Could always travel on the Friday if need be but would work out cheaper just to come for the day in anycase. Some estimate of times would help though with looking for tickets. Trust me I don't mind doing it in a day. I'm generally happy on a train and it's not as if I'll have to change or anything. EDIT: This will teach me for not reading posts. Just read Bids other post above. Will keep an eye out and see what people decide.
