spectrumlady Report post Posted November 11, 2008 Does anyone have any tips/strategies for a 13yr old with DSD who would dearly love to learn to read ?
aro Report post Posted November 11, 2008 No advice but have just googled the condition and was wondering how/who dx'ed this condition? My dd has white matter brain damage resulting in CP, temporal lobe epilepsy and ASD and the symptoms describe her problems very accurately. Good luck with the reading, we have problems here too, for 4 years she's been able to read CVC words in isolation (big letter formates) but hasn't progressed from this! (she's now six) A x
Ian Jordan Report post Posted November 13, 2008 Optic ataxia and resultant praxis problems are often resultant to dorsal stream problems - you need specialist that can deal with this one. Magnocellular processing deficit may also be related. Too much for a post though.
