Mumble Report post Posted August 25, 2009 Well the title kinda says it all doesn't it Got a lot coming up over the next month that's all come up suddenly (oh how I love change and the unexpected...) and I'm unlikely to have Internet access/be able to use the Puter for a while. Got a variety (don't know whether I'm coming or going - def. need the planner this week) of doc/consultant/hosp appointments and pre-assessments this week, then my sister's taking me away for a short break to relax, de-stress and, amongst other things, watch/monitor/record the whale and dolphin population in the Atlantic which I'm really looking forward to :bounce: (I shall try not to fall overboard ). When I get back I'm going pretty much straight into hospital which, if I wasn't freaked out enough, is somewhere I don't know (it's the only unit providing the specialist beds/monitoring/care I need in the South-East ) - have no knowledge of the place or what it'll be like and there's no time for a pre-visit. I'm trying to think positively in terms of getting the treatment I need but I'm really scared. I'm expecting to be set free late September when I shall be back with a vengeance. Mumble Report post Posted October 7, 2009 I'm back!!!!! (sorry ) (what d'ya mean, did you go somewhere? ) I had a great holiday despite the oceans and showing us all that it could offer in the way of storms and storms and wind and rain. It meant we couldn't get out to sea as long as far as we had planned so I had to sit back in the pub and admire my skipper on dry land , ah the hardships!! When we were able to get out we saw some amazing things - loads of dolphins although I gave up trying to trying to photograph them and just enjoyed watching them, a rather too close encounter with a shark, though it was a basking shark so wouldn't have done any harm, although the stories of this shark encounter my sister and I have told have got more elaborate when we have told them - what was really a 5 metre shark swimming happily alongside the boat has become 15 metres and taken a bite out of me requiring an airlift from the boat to hospital to be sewn back together - and they say Aspies don't have imagination! I didn't see any Whales though. I also saw lost of sea and cliff birds - I loved the gannets which dive into the water really fast and I also saw a sea eagle and a golden eagle. Hospital was less fun but drier. I can't fault the nurses and technicians looking after me (the doctors need to learn a little more about communication however) and will definitely make sure they're aware of my ASD again. I still have more investigations to go and I think the doctors can't agree and I got told today that they think there might be something else going on unrelated that they just happened to find because of the other tests - apparently that that makes me 'lucky' thought I think the doc should look up that definition in the dictionary. Anyway, I'm back and ready to cause mayhem again though I might be less active than before as I really need to throw myself into my studies to give to give me something to concentrate on.
