baddad Report post Posted September 10, 2009 As my very old CRT monitor was on it's last legs I treated myself (and the environment!) to a new LCD one as a belated berfday-present-to-self. It is absolutely lovely - nice, clear bright display etc etc, except for the two large bands of black I've had to leave either side of the screen using the 14:3 setting AS MY ONBOARDS GRAPHICS CHIP DON'T SUPPORT WIDESREEN MONITORS!! I've spent most of the day (which I could'na afford this soon after skool hols) looking for updated drivers, but even the latest ones won't have it So.... does anyone know a good, cheap AGP graphics card with a chipset that'll handle 1680x1050? Or any software that'll allow you to override and control a via chipset for custom settings? BOTTOMS! The annoying thing is that I bought Ben a new w/s monitor a few months ago and his far older graphics drivers are fine
