Kathryn Report post Posted October 31, 2009 I'm back - gee that went quick! Derbyshire was great - weather very mild and dry. The the best thing about the holiday was that my son finally learned to swim - in three days, because there was a wonderful swimming pool attached to the cottages which we had mostly to ourselves. We swam every day, did a bit of walking and despite not having ridden a bike for a few years I managed an 8 mile ride around Carsington Water - and despite being around a lake, the route wasn't at all flat!
