00Gray Report post Posted March 13, 2010 Hi, I'm training to become a software engineer, so I do get my computer messy at times too - its been known to enjoy the odd drop of wine when I've had a long night, lol. To basically clean a computer, or how I do it; Keyboard - to remove surface dirt you could use a product called anti-static cleaning foam, it usually costs around £10 but can get pricey toward the £25 end of the scale. Spray a small quantity of the foam onto a lint free cloth and scrub, adding further small amounts of foam until clean. Screen - I find that places such as Curry's have cheap spray/wipes for screens that are clearly illustrated. Sorry to be not much help, but I get most of my supplies from uni lol. Hope it helps at least a little. 00Gray
Jannih Report post Posted March 13, 2010 Hi, I'm training to become a software engineer, so I do get my computer messy at times too - its been known to enjoy the odd drop of wine when I've had a long night, lol. It's the biscuit crumbs that get me. I turn the keyboard upside down and tap it until the biscuit crumbs fall out. My keyboard signed the pledge, so alcohol is not a problem. I will, now leave my keyboard, so it does not see me, and have a swig of wine !
matzoball Report post Posted March 15, 2010 air duster!! you can get a massive can for about 8 quid in tescos, and it lasts for ages - it comes with a straw like attachment and you literaly blow all the dust and crumbs from the keyboard
Mumble Report post Posted March 15, 2010 You can get Desktop Henrys - I think they must either run on batteries or plug into your USB!! No idea if they actually work or are just intended as novelty items but they always amuse me in the shop and I have to remember that impulse buying is bad and I definitely do not need one!!
