im wondering if anyone has any ideas for a set of books for my 12 year old can read.

he is articulate and loves quirky books but struggles with anything heavy...lol

the school have just given him adrian mole to read and he read it in a few days.

he has also read sculduggery pleasant in under a week and hackers.

both he enjoyed.

the teachers wanted him to read eagle of the ninth,it bombed big time with louis...lol.

any suggestions of good books for young teenagers i will take a note off

love noogsy x

The H.I.V.E series of books are brilliant. There are four in total so far and they're all really quite good. Also, Skulduggery Pleasant has three books in the series now, Playing with Fire, and The Faceless Ones, so both of those would be good ideas I suppose.

Ben age 11 posted above information for you.He is a bit of a book expert though I say it myself. :D

My sons liked the Alex Rider series and the Darren Shan books (they are quite scary, so check first). The Horrible Histories series is always popular (and funny), and Dick-King Smith. The Usbourne Puzzle books are good too.
