Karen A Report post Posted March 10, 2010 The H.I.V.E series of books are brilliant. There are four in total so far and they're all really quite good. Also, Skulduggery Pleasant has three books in the series now, Playing with Fire, and The Faceless Ones, so both of those would be good ideas I suppose. Ben age 11 posted above information for you.He is a bit of a book expert though I say it myself. Karen.

Kazzen161 Report post Posted March 10, 2010 My sons liked the Alex Rider series and the Darren Shan books (they are quite scary, so check first). The Horrible Histories series is always popular (and funny), and Dick-King Smith. The Usbourne Puzzle books are good too.
