Mumble Report post Posted November 5, 2010 Very interesting - ADHD isn't something I know a huge amount about. Can I ask, how is ADHD actually categorised - on one page of this presentation it is stated as a psychiatric disorder and also as a neurological disorder - is it one or both of these or something else? JsMum Report post Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) Very interesting - ADHD isn't something I know a huge amount about. Can I ask, how is ADHD actually categorised - on one page of this presentation it is stated as a psychiatric disorder and also as a neurological disorder - is it one or both of these or something else? Due to the diagnostic route it is a Psychiatrict Disorder, as listed here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disruptive_Behavior_Disorders#Attention-deficit_and_disruptive_behavior_disorders It is also a Neurological Disorder too. http://learningdisabilities.about.com/od/medicalinterventions/g/adhddefinition.htm Here is more on ADHD. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention_deficit_hyperactivity_disorder It is one of the most comorbid duel diagnosis, mainly been Aspergers Syndrome AND ADHD.
