I have been reading up on Alexithymia (inability to identify and describe emotions in the self) and it seems to me that it is a good description of part of my symptoms. I was wondering whether this is a subset of AS or if it is a comorbid condition.

Here is the online test for Alexithymia. http://www.alexithym.../test-alex.html

I'd be grateful if you could complete the poll ..Thanks

FWIW I scored 160

Raydon, I scored 128 and this was with a number of my responses as 'undecided' because I really didn't know what I thought. So overall, I score quite highly apart from describing emotion :bounce:

It didn't work. Anyway, I got 114, and then I wasn't sure if I did it fairly enough, so I thought harder and got 116, which I guess is reasonably consistent. 114-116, which is apparently high-ish. Well, it said high, but it's possible to score way higher. I'm a bit confused by it, tbh.

I couldn't complete the poll without answering all the yes/no questions, even the mutually exclusive ones. When I put the same scores in them all, I got a result. I don't trust it since I had trip answer questions falsely to do it.

I find things like this a real wind up / anxiety provoking. Questions like #5, #20 just seem n/a.

Not everyone is socially hooked into life and so many questions can't be answered with any confidence.

I am quite pedantic when presented with stuff like this and find it impossible to confidently interpret some questions let alone answer.

This being so, the fact that the results indicate some sort of judgement about me is disturbing.

Big thumbs down from me ... but it it helps some, all well and good.
