Wishing you a lovely Christmas Day yourself Jeanne. As I predicted, my wee boy lasted 3 presents before we put on his new Thomas DVD  . The second round will be after the kids are dressed!

Happiness and health to you! :D

Happy Christmas to everyone. My son is playing away with his new Skylanders. As for myself just got back from a 45min training run which was really nice and quiet along the local tracks, chance for peace and quiet and getting my head together. Bit of a clean up and then it will be down to sorting out the dinner and settling back with a glass of red wine or two.

Have a good day.

Firstly fantastic train, I'm really fascinated by it!

I hope you all got through Christmas day ok without too much stress I know how stressful a day it can be. I missed having Glen here but he was better where he was so it worked for the best. I did keep calling my eldest son Luke, 'Glen' several times in the day, I felt bad and kept apologising but then I've also called Glen, 'Luke' many times before, I must be getting old :(

Hi AS congratulations to yourself and trekster for becoming moderators, I'm really looking forward to a new challenge lol

Glen is doing well thanks at the hospital, It will be decided at the end of this coming week if he will be discharged or not but by what I've heard it is unlikely. He will be there longer probably 4 - 8 weeks. It is an excellent place, fantastic facilities. It's what's going to happen when he gets out that worries me. If he goes back to the care home he was in there will have to be changes, otherwise all the good that's been done at the hospital will just simply be undone again. Glen's aggression will return I am in no doubt of that.

Way to go JeanneA !! Great to hear Glen is doing well. He obviously needs to be somewhere very highly specialist. May be it is his way of saying the care home is not that great! Good for Glen X

Hi Jeanne and everyone else

Sorry didn't get on here before Christmas to pass on my good wishes, so - Happy New Year!

With boys of 16 and 19 Christmas has lost some of it's magic I'm afraid, especially as they both spend 99% of the day in their rooms! Aw wouldn't even eat his Christmas dinner in the same room as us.

My mum, who is 90, came for dinner on Boxing Day which was lovely and Mj was lovely with her. Aw would not come downstairs at all whilst she was there, even to get his Christmas money, which was a shame.

Christmas can be a very difficult time for many people, for many different reasons. I really feel for those of you who struggle this time of year >:D<<'>

Let's hope 2013 is a much better year for most us than this year has been, then I seem to say that every year :-(

A decision is to be made from the hospital this Thursday/Friday as to whether Glen is discharged (highly unlikely) or will stay at the hospital for a further period of assessment. I am almost positive Glen will continue to stay there for now, which is good for him. I will be requesting that Glen's social worker comes to visit me so that I can discuss my concerns regarding when Glen is finally discharged from the hospital as if he goes back to the care home he was in changes will have to be made otherwise all the good work the hospital has done will just be undone straight away knowing Glen as well as I do!
