Aeolienne Report post Posted July 16, 2013 At the risk of name-dropping, I worked at the Met Office at the same time that Katie Hopkins did. I wasn't in her team, but with it being an open-plan environment I must have walked past her desk a good few times.

dotmarsdotcom Report post Posted November 8, 2014 very good post. me and my step son love movies where the good guy doesn't win. (just cause we are bored with Hollywood's ideas of formula movies.. & not cause we are bad people.. I thought I better clarify that :-) in answer to your question. i.e. the best 5 bad villains, I'm not sure I can come up with as many as five that tick my boxes. I struggle to even think of one, who does "bad" the way I imagine in my mind they should be. I'm really struggling to think of any here, so I guess I'd have to say the joker (although even he wasn't bad enough for me.) but I thought Keith's performance in that bat man movie was as good as bad gets. it's a shame we lost him in real life. rest in peace Keith. all the best. Mihaela Report post Posted November 8, 2014 For me it has to be Terry Thomas, king of cads! ...or his cartoon equivalent, Dick Dastardly... or maybe Professor Moriarty.

dotmarsdotcom Report post Posted November 12, 2014 (edited) i've been thinking about this subject a lot recently. me & my son despise the happy glappy american views on how movies should end. me and him like the dark side, even thought we are not so ourselves. upon more consideration, i've found "V" for vedetta a pretty good movie. that movie seems to logically make sense to me. he removed the people who needed to be removed, and never tried to claim he was good or bad? perhaps that is what a baddie in movies should be? evil that is un quantifiable by normal standards, and yet is able to project ethical statements, even though the end to the means is not something we could approve of in normal life?
