Laddo Report post Posted December 7, 2014 Just thought I'd share this heartbreaking story I heard about: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/12/05/dying-girl-addie-christmas-cards_n_6274820.html?utm_hp_ref=uk Addie Faucett, a six year old girl from Utah dying from Cerebral Atrophy, has been receiving hundreds of cards for what is likely her final Christmas. I would be a hypocrite to demand people send her cards as I can't afford to do it myself, but if you can spare the money to send her a card, it would be really great. The address is: Addie Lynn and Sisters, P.O. Box 162, Fountain Green, UT 84632
Mihaela Report post Posted December 7, 2014 (edited) Very sad. Poor little thing. I hope her last days will be happy and painless. Stories like this seem even worse around Christmas time. Last Christmas Day I got a sad message from an online friend to say that her best friend along with her parents had died in the night of Christmas Eve at their home due to fumes from an open wood fire. Ironically, the gas central heating was faulty. They all fell asleep together by the fire. She was only 12, and I couldn't stop thinking about it over the Christmas period. http://www.publika.md/tragedie-la-ialoveni-membrii-unei-familii-printre-care-un-copil-de-12-ani-au-murit-intoxicati-cu-gaz_1742441.htmlI watched that video last Christmas Day, the very first Christmas I'd spent totally alone. I've just checked her Facebook page - still there unchanged since her last happy message on 22nd December. Life isn't fair. Aeolienne Report post Posted December 9, 2014 Oh dear. I suspect the Fausetts will have cause to regret this appeal. Comparison with the Craig Shergold case
Laddo Report post Posted December 9, 2014 Should they regret that some greedy psychopaths have capitalised on a dying child's wishes in the past though? It's still a good cause, regardless of what people have done in the past
