Natural remedies sought

Recommended Posts

Hi Carole,

Sorry to hear Matthew is still feeling yuk.

All I can think of that might help is the head over a bowl of Vick and hot water jobby.

I know how he feels, I caught a cold at the beginning of July which has left me with sinisitus ever since  . The Vick does help though.

I tried to get some anti-biotics from my GP as a last resort, but he wont give me any. He would only give me a nasal spray and told me to take Sudofed........3 bottles later and I've still got it.

I've had possibly the same thing (its doing the rounds in the north) for 4 and a bit weeks, its not nice, even went to GP for antibiotics which I hate taking as I get nasty reaction and they haven't worked, nothing has and I keep loosing my voice aswell, kids find that bit hilarious. So I can definately sympathise with Matthew if he has the same thing, its awful >:D<<'>

Now my youngest has it and he's started coughing so bad he's getting serious nose bleeds so my washing machine hasn't stopped and I need 2 new mattresses :(

Any ideas much appreciated

Hi Carole,

Try a homeopathic pill - Hepar Sulph 30c - it's a good one for earache and

sinusitis as it's got an anti-septic effect. Dont eat or drink 20 mins before or after tablet. It can be taken every 2 hours until relief is obtained. Good luck.

Zinc is supposed to be good for getting over an infection quicker! I also give my children hot honey, lemon and a lot of ginger which seems to get them breathing again. I've always meant to try echinacea too.
