It could be said that a start-up environment, especially a high-growth one, has a degree of ambiguity and occasional interpersonal demands which might be too much for an autistic worker to handle. On the hand, maybe a company that accepts change as constant and is used to frequent staff turnover might have better procedures in place to ensure smooth onboarding and handovers. What do you think?
