Viper Report post Posted November 25, 2005 I live in the south east and we had our first flurry this afternoon. It's blooming freezing out there and my DD and DH are out doing my DD's paper round. I wonder if it's worth the 10 pounds a week sometimes. Viper.
Tylers-mum Report post Posted November 25, 2005 They must be freezing their lil socks off bless em! We had our first bout of snow this morning and it was VERY icey out there too! My sister fell flat oin her face and hurt her ankle when she left for work this morning! She was laughing about it when she called me but at the time, it must have hurt! It did settle but was all gone by noon. I'm in Wales.

Flora Report post Posted November 25, 2005 No snow in Oxfordshire yet; if it does snow here I hope it holds off until tomorrow lunch time, I've got lots of ferrying kids about tomorrow morning but we should all be back by early afternoon. I hate hate hate driving in the snow Ever since the time my car skidded down a hill when I tried to turn left... very very scary. Lauren
tinminer Report post Posted November 25, 2005 There are over 1,000 motorists still stuck on the A30 on Bodmin Moor (between where I live in Redruth, Cornwall & Exeter, Devon). This must be a nightmare for them. - serious too, some have been stuck there since 10am this morning. It normally takes me half-an-hour to get home - took me three! (only 10 miles). Has taken others over 8 hours to get home, or not at all. Chaos on all the other major roads in Cornwall: A38, A39 (Atlantic Highway up to Bude/Barnstaple). A388, A384. We don't normally see snow like this in Cornwall - last time was 1983 that I remember, but I don't remember the roads being quite that bad then.
