bid Report post Posted May 4, 2006 Hi All, Just had to share my relief!! This morning I got a letter confirming the funding for Auriel to go to a residential Special FE College for AS in September And yesterday, I heard that he's been accepted at the neighbouring mainstream FE college, where he will do 4 'A' levels, with a support worker from the Special College! So now we've just got to get through the rest of his GCSEs!! Bid Oooooh, and I'm so excited...the 'A' levels are in English Language, Film Studies, Drama, Media Studies He's miles cleverer than me!! something vague Report post Posted May 4, 2006 That's great news I bet you're relieved. We are trying to get a place in an AS specific college for my niece too. She has visited one that would be ideal and she's very keen but nothing is settled yet, heres hoping. SV

Tez Report post Posted May 7, 2006 Well done Auriel. Taking 4 A levels is quite an achievement, the specialist AS school has obviously been exactly what Auriel needed. I'm glad it's all sorted and that everything is working out for you all. He will be doing 'A' levels in English Language, Film Studies, Drama, Media Studies. At the moment, he's thinking about going on to uni to do Film Studies. His specialist interest is the work of Tim Burton. Bid One of A's current obsessions is Tim Burton. He did a multimedia presentation on Nightmare before Christmas for part of his ICT GNVQ work.
