baddad Report post Posted August 14, 2006 The proclaimers... they reformed briefly as a two piece girl band, but all done and dusted now... sorry - private joke! Today I are mostly been listening to the Kaiser chiefs (it does not move me, it's not the kind of thing that i like) and the stone roses... must try to listen to something less pedestrian tomorrow or people will start to think I'm a BOF... Â Still together, still touring. A friend saw them a couple of years ago and said they were really good. Â If you go to the Matthew Street festival in Liverpool on the 26th of August, you can see them for free at 1.30pm. Might have to get a babysitter..... baddad Report post Posted August 20, 2006 Pink Floyd - The piper at the gates of dawn & We are scientists - we are scientists...  Ahhh, Gilbo, enjoy those whole day music fests! Few and far between for me these days, sadly  I suspect the last time in my 'batchelor pad' days it might have gone somthing like:  Dr Feelgood (Down by the Jetty) /SAHB (next)/ Hawkwind (Astounding sounds/Amazing Music - and I was into that before it got 'street cred!))Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense/ Breeders - Last Splash/ Throwing Muses - the real Ramona + some very bishy bashy boshy Hardcore Trance or summink to get me in the mood for going out to the pub... Oh, and an old Live In Concert tape of Ian Dury and the blockheads which has versions of 'Blockheads' and 'Spasticus Autisticus' that make you want to smash the furniture...  One day i'm gonna find me a baby-sitter and say s*d everything and go for it!!  L&P  BD

baddad Report post Posted August 21, 2006 You latent appliance fetishist! Roxy Music's 'For Your Pleasure' over here  Latent?????  FYP - Contains some of my fave Roxy tracks... By far the fave ave though is on 'stranded' - Mother of pearl... Still know the whole thing by heart, but particularly like the lines 'sveltine sleekness was always my weakness like a simple tune' as now ruined for the 'lyric quiz'!! Van der Graff? Whatever next: golden earring??  L&P BD
Sojourned Report post Posted August 21, 2006 In Every Dream Home a Heartache has to be Roxy's best tune. How many bands can say they've done a song about an inflatable doll?
