Just copied this over, a bit of controversy perhaps ;)

VACCINATIONS, MERCURY and HEAVY METALS INFORMATION

If you are all for vaccinations and do not believe there is a link to Autism then thats fine but please just have a look and read of all the websites I have listed below FIRST ! I am NOT anti-vaccinations but vaccinations are NOT for EVERYONE ! I am AGAINST MERCURY or any toxic metal for that matter and the most important thing if anything I have learned to date is to have an open mind ! At least you can educate yourself some more on vaccinations and mercury even if you still don't agree . :-)

Most websites are typically in the USA as Australia has very little awareness sites for vaccines - well there is one listed below

According to numerous scientists, Autism, (Autistic spectrum disorders) and ADD , ADHD have similar characteristics to those of chronic metal toxicity. For an excellent article on the similarities of autism and mercury poisoning, please go to:

http://www.evenbetternow.com/cgi-bin/site....ism_mercury.htm

Did you know that it is becoming more and more common for children with ASD to get tested for heavy metal poisoning and actually have it ! Ask yourself how did they get it and why is it common in ASD kids ?

My children have it and so too could yours !

With hindsight Ds1 was different from the start, before he had his vaccinations, so I know with him that heavy metal poisoning is not the case.

Some things to note about those 'facts',

High metal content is not common in ASD kids because they haven't proven it, they're just claiming it and hoping in the panic caused no one asks difficult questions.

'COVER UP' is what you say when what you really mean is 'I HAVE A CONSPIRACY THEORY'. The problem with most conspiracy theories is that they try to get you to believe conspiracies are huge, they're not. A conspiracy like a coup de tat MUST be very small and known only by very few people, usually NOT in very high positions of authority, for them to have any chance of getting away with it. The more people you bring into a conspiracy, the chances of it being exposed multiply by a large degree.

You simply cannot have EVERY doctor in America, Australia, Britain, etc, being part of the same conspiracy.

Absolutely none of these people consult Autistics about the decisions they make on behalf of Autistics. Parental perogative protects them, even if the harm they do is not confined to just their own children.

The 'numerous scientists' unspecifically reffered to are not numerous. It doesn't mention that the number of scientists in disagreement to them are far more numerous. It doesn't mention that none of the scientists actually study Autism.

They also neglect to mention the fact that by not vaccinating you are putting other's lives at risk, not just the unvaccinated. If a deadly virus has a large enough population to thrive it, it adapts into a new strain faster than a new vaccine can be brought out to beat it. That's what is meant by 'herd immunity'; the vaccinated protect the unvaccinated who endanger them in return.

But surely if heavy metal poisoning was the problem wouldn't everyone who was ever vaccinated test positive for it.

And if only certain people get heavy metal poisoning out of an entire population then perhaps they are genetically prone to it anyway.

Just a thought.

Mercury poisoning is supposed to make people go mad rather than autistic. The saying mad as a hatter was the result of hatmakers becoming poisoned from mercury used in felt processing. Mercury has a high affinity for sulphur and therefore concentrates in body tissues containing sulphur such as nerve endings. The NHS does not have any facilities to test for heavy metal poisoning.

There is a fair bit of overlap between the symptoms of mercury poisoning and the characteristics of Autism - but they are not one and the same. Similarly, the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder suffered by victims of solitary confinement for years on end is very similar to Autism. That doesn't mean that Autism is the result of solitary confinement, does it?

Two generations of medical research has led to the widely accepted conclusion that Autism & Asperger's Syndrome exist, and that any characteristics they have in common with other conditions should not be interpreted as evidence of a common cause. If the suggested link between mercury and Autism was true, then chelation (the removal of mercury from the bloodstream by using ionic bonding) would cure all people with Autism. It does not. In fact, chelation is very dangerous - especially when used inappropriately.

Charlatans, fraudsters and confidence tricksters do exist. They will promise anything that they need to promise in order to extract money from a "mark," and a customer who is desperate to get help is an easier mark than most. And there are countless organisations that will happily separate a family from every penny they have in return for inappropriate chelation, clay baths, biomagnetic therapy (which is available over the internet for as little as $1,000 a time, promising a cure for obesity, smoking, Autism, Alzheimers, cancer, colds and fatigue, but is nothing more than a medical scanner) or a magic potion to cure their child's Autism.

Here in the UK there are organisations that will charge over ?1,000 for a battery of medical tests that your GP would do for free - if they had anything to do with Autism - and their websites are very carefully worded to not actually promise a cure. Just as with the other websites found on the net that sell treatments, the visitors are carefully led to believe that they are promised a cure - but they are not, not with a promise that would stand up in court, anyway.

The law allows anyone to sell almost anything, and fake cures are not illegal unless the treatment itself causes harm. It is perfectly legal for me to set up a website to sell my own "secret recipe" Autism treatment, and as long as I don't poison the patients or try to sell a controlled substance, the only way I am vulnerable is if I actually make a promise to cure a particular patient - who could then sue me for misrepresentation of goods or services under the Sale of Goods Act 1980 (or some similar Act.) So all I have to do is persuade someone with letters after their name (my best mate, for example) to say that in independent research (which means that it wasn't funded or conducted by me) 85% of children with Autism who took my treatment showed signs of improvement. I could have nicked the home-made lemonade recipe from another class in my own school, chosen carefully because their teacher gets good results and all the kids met their annual targets, and the claim is valid.

This is because the only claims are simple (simplistic, you might think) observations. The kids took the lemonade; the kids showed signs of improvement; I can sell you the lemonade.

It's the same with chelation. First, these charlatans describe mercury poisoning, and emphasise the similarities it has with Autism. Then they describe how chelation is an effective treatment for mercury poisoning (which it is!) Finally, they tell you how much it costs. Throw in a few carefully worded comments about possible Autism cures, the need to help people, questions asked at the highest level of government and a hint of conspiracy theory to imply that "they" don't want you to know about this, and then all they need to do is set up a paypal/credit card page on their website and set up an offshore account to funnel the proceeds into four times a month.

They even sell "home chelation kits." These people are evil, predatory monsters taking advantage of parents who are at their wits' end. There should be a law, and the penalty should be extreme. But it's all legal.

Your only defense is your common sense.

I agree, Lucas and Cynical, there are so many forums in Australia pro this and I just wanted to copy over what they are saying as I do have my doubts about it, but some of the parents are so fixed and fascinated by all the blurb.

I remember a conference I attended in the early days when my son was also diagnosed with ADHD on top of the ASD and there were mobs of people coming along to the conference i.e chiropractors for instance trying to push me into believing my son could be cured from ADHD with a few spinal adjustments. As if, :) luckily; my son was in a program at a special school and I was able to talk to one of the head specialists from this school. She said it was disappointing how so many people like this are targeting parents with their false claims of a cure  I also remember a friend who had completed a three year course in natural therapies, she thought she knew it all and very directly told me what my Paediatrician was doing was all wrong; that she could cure my son  that went down like a lead balloon as you could imagine. I had 5 top specialists assessing my son and they all agreed what my Paediatrician was doing for my son was best for him.

I just want to bring light onto this as so many parents are fed a lot of tripe from these natural miracle workers  .

The whole chelation issue is terrifying. I feel that in a lot of cases the procedures involved are forms of child abuse.

There are occasions when "Autism" is simply a wrong diagnosis: Quentin Wilson (that bloke off of the telly with the silly smirk) thought his son had Autism, but it turned out to be a misaligned vertebra putting pressure on nerves in his neck, exponentially increasing the sensitivity of his nervous system... resulting in some very autism-like reactions to extreme sensory inputs. (There's a brief description of that case here.)

That case was almost unique; the thing is, part of medical training is the understanding of differential levels of diagnostic probability. A doctor will understand that for every case of mercury poisoning or misaligned vertebra, there are about 300,000 genuine cases of Autism.

A snake oil salesman will only see 300,000 potential "customers."

The problem with ASD is it is so varied and I believed caused by different things. I believe some children can not metabolise mecury in injections and hence it becomes toxic. I also believe that food and chemicals involved in the preparation of food also plays a part along with hereditary.

This is why there are so many problems with diagnosing what causes ASD and hence finding a treatment which works.

ASD research needs to approach from different causes of ASD and than we may find a cure for certain causative factors.

Quentin Wilsons son was discussed here when he first 'went public'. Most people who saw the footage thought he was probably on the spectrum somehwhere. there is a diference between 'currently able to cope in mainstream' and cured. Time will be the judge on that one.

I first became cynical about the the Mercury Induced Autism brigade when I saw a claim on the front page of one of their websites that both Autism and environmental mercury had increased in the the last 30 years so this was proof that the two were connected. Anyone with any knowledge at all knows this is junk science, and it doesn't get any better when their claims are examined in more detail.

Sorry if I have gone into rant mode, but there is a whole industry based around parting vulnerable parents from their money. These parents are told there is a 'cure' for their childs autism, and that they would be failing in their duty to their children if they didn't spend big on dubious cures.

It's all wrong and these people shouldn't be given any free publicity.

I believe some children can not metabolise mecury in injections and hence it becomes toxic.

Whether or not the mercury in injections can be metabolised is quite a difference question to whether or not there is mercury in injections. And whether that mercury causes Autism is another question entirely.

Compounds of mercury have been used in the manufacturing processes of some vaccinations, and subsequently extracted leaving traces so small that they are literally immeasurable. But the important point is that where and when this has happened has been documented exhaustively - alongside cultures, areas and individuals who have been exposed to higher levels of mercury.

From this data, demonstrating a link with Autism is a matter of a simple statistical analysis of populations and published data on Autism and mercury poisoning rates, which is perhaps the simplest form of medical research there is. It is so simple, I could do it with my own laptop - and my academic specialism is ancient Greek and Medieval Arab philosophy.

All of the data and all of the research have failed to indicate a link with Autism.

If there is a link between vaccinations and Autism (and Andrew Wakefield and a few subsequent studies suggest very strongly that there is) then that link is not causal.

Mercury was used to stabilise the drugs, if the drug is not mixed correctly prior to be drawn up than this will make a different to the size of the mercury molecules and it can also affect the effeciency of the drug. How can you research what children had there immunisations mixed correctly before they were injected into a limb. What constitutes good mixing to distribute the mercury, is it shaking a vial for 2 seconds 20 seconds etc.

The mixing - and subsequent extraction - of the compounds of mercury is subject to very stringent conditions. These conditions are laid down in the guidelines agreed between the drug manufacturers and the drug licencing authorities and enforced with the full authority of the law: the oscillation, pitch and length of "shaking" is not a random or variable factor.

And after the extraction of the compound, the vaccine was always tested for compound of mercury content. (And I say "was" because, according to the director of pharmaceutical research I asked, compounds of mercury haven't been used in vaccines manufactured in the UK for over a decade.)

On this i agree absolutely... Most of the 'anecdotal' evidence that is put forward is rejected for exactly this reason - because no direct link can be established. It's not a case of any one factor (or even combination of factors) causing autism but a need to recognise that many, many environmental/cultural factors can have implications for an individual with a genetic 'predisposition', and on this i do feel that heavy metal poisoning may be a factor in some cases (but certainly nowhere near enough to justify the 'industry' that has grown up around treatments for their removal)...

There are many cases where research has taken a decade or even longer to establish direct correlations of cause and effect (tobacco/cancer, thelidomide/spatulate deformity, BSE CJD etc), and most of these delays have occured because of political/industrial agendas... With environmental factors in AS you are dealing directly with two industrial 'giants' - the food and agrichemical industries - and the implications of the political 'clout' those two industries represent. Going to be a long time (if ever) before the powers that be admit to what is already common knowledge, purely and simply because they can't afford NOT to bluff...

I'm not at all convinced by this line of argument. "it must be true because theydon't want you to know" says nothing about the validity or otherwise of the topic under disussion and usaually points to a lack of evidence. Yes, the pharmecutical industry are powerful lobbyists, but there are loads of people without vested interests who sincerely believe there is no causal link beween MMR and Autism and most formal studies have tended to support this.

Evidence against the vaccine is primarily anecdotal and relates to the onset of Autistic regression in the period after vaccination. More work is needed to see if a latent regression is triggered or the child would have remaned free of Autuism without the jab. I believe the former is most likely.

Interestingly, vaccination rates peaked a few years ago and are now much lower than they were before the MMR scare. The number of Autistic children has continued to rise.

Hi simon -

sorry about the post - I was trying to keep it brief rather than re-hash the whole thing again... I agree that 'must be true 'cos they don't want you to know' isn't very convincing...

In my own case, there were a few things that convinced me that MMR can effect children:

- A nephew who went through exactly the 'pattern' described for MMR regression (seemingly NT one day, achieving all of the predicted milestones, has MMR, reacts with a day and night uncontrollable screaming, quietens down and is a completely 'different' child with very obvious AS and almost no verbal ability...)

- A research project (Coursework - not for my own benefit!) into parental attitudes to MMR during which it became very apparent that 'MMR- the facts' (the parents guide issued by the GMC to reassure parents) was anything but, being full of inconsistencies, spin and some fairly blatent untruths. Sorry, but i AM always suspicious where research is manipulated/controlled (especially where big business is concerned)- purely because there have been so many historical precedents...

- The simple facts that all three components of MMR have historically been individually linked to autism ( Measles and Rubella directly, and Mumps as a trigger for encephalitis which is directly associated) and that the MMR injection is administered during the single most important phase of post-natal brain development (and more specifically when those areas of the brain associated with autistic disorders are undergoing their most rapid period of development).

I'm not trying to convince anyone else, and fully accept that for others the above might seem very speculative and/or anecdotal.

All I'd really like to see is the other side of the argument coming up with something a little more 'solid' in their defence, 'cos let's face it they should have the money/recources to put forward a convincing argument than the tired and overused non-specific 'studies' they pull out every time...

My son as well, was doing fine in mainstream until he had the booster MMR at age 15 and it was all down hill one week later 18 months of problems and I realised all this started one week after the MMR.

I was involved in a debate over here on ABC Radio and they had this specialist saying that he could guarantee that the MMR was safe for everyone. I was fuming, I rang in and just happened to be the first caller to go to air and she talked with me at length about the reactions my son had. I said that I disagree that it is safe for everyone and that my son was in that small percentage that had an intolerance to it.

A flood of calls came in stating the same view. Later a woman called in and said QUOTE: I disagree with all these parents that believe this MMR is the cause, she said all these parents were in 'denial' she said that these children were going to regress or fluctuate all throughout their lives this is what Autism is like and they will always have times like this. "

In the end another doctor came on in her support and it ended with people at least not 100% in agreement with the so called expert that said it was 100% safe :ninja::lol::lol: the announcer was in support of us in the end.

There is so much money involved, why would they believe our stories. B)

Offsetting their undoubted public health benefits, vaccinations incur the

risk of a range of adverse side effects, some of which rarely cause long

lasting or even permanent impairment of health. :

By the time a baby is 5 months old that baby has been exposed to 18 antigens, 21 antigens by 12 months and 29 antigens by 5 years. The problem is there has been no indepth research on the combinations of vaccines and the reactions they cause.

Depending upon the nature of the vaccine, major side effects fall into three categories, as follows

Toxic: Killed bacteria may release toxins as their cell bodies break up. An

example is pertussis vaccine, which contains at least one substance that can

be poisonous to brain cells. When the toxin injures the brain, this occurs

anywhere from a few hours to a few days after the vaccination.

Infectious: A vaccine that consists of attenuated virus particles may cause

the very infection that it was intended to prevent. An example is oral polio

vaccine. The infection presents after an incubation period of a number of

days during which the virus multiplies. The virus may even remain latent in

cells of the body for much longer periods of time, and then cause disease.

Autoimmune: The body responds to the vaccine with an immune reaction that

attacks its components. Sometimes the immune reaction also attacks a

constituent of the body itself, which bears some chemical resemblance to a

constituent of the vaccine. Reports of cases in which nerve cells have been

attacked have been published for tetanus, influenza and measles vaccines.

The "self-attack" is the result of a cascade of biochemical changes which

takes at least five days to cause clinically observable disease, and may

take at least up to six weeks

In view of these hazards, safety precautions are called for. This task is

not straightforward, for reasons such as the following:

Factors that Complicate Safety Precautions

Any disease that can be caused by a vaccine can also be caused by other

agents. To help distinguish causation from chance association,

epidemiological studies are often required. These studies are typically

time-consuming and resource-intensive. Many potential adverse effects of

vaccines have not been systematically studied with the methods of

epidemiology. The inventory of side effects of vaccines remains incomplete.

Common adverse side effects are likely to be detected during pre-marketing

clinical trials. Rare side effects would most likely be overlooked, given

the modest number of participants that is customary in clinical trials.

Not all adverse effects occur within days or a few weeks of vaccination.

Autoimmune disorders may take a month or two to emerge. Virus particles may

even remain latent for lengthy periods of months or years, before they begin

to trigger diagnosable disease. An example of a combination of vaccines that

can cause an autoimmune disorder is MMR (measles-mumps-rubella). Another

example may be Hepatitis B vaccine.

Even when an injury occurs soon after a vaccination, this may not

immediately be noticeable. This applies generally to injuries of the

developing nervous system, regardless of the cause. Such neurological

syndromes as cerebral palsy and developmental language disorder may come to

light months or years after the brain damage was inflicted. The effects of

severe injury may take years to show up, for example as learning and

attention problems.

When several vaccines are given at the same time, they may have adverse

effects that none of the individual vaccines have when they are given by

themselves. Giving many vaccines at the same time is becoming increasingly

prevalent, especially to "captive audiences" like infants

My son j also had asd symptoms before his mmr but he had bad reaction to first but no noticeable regression and went into a coma after second mmr, at the time I made no link between that and mmr but am convinced it is linked now because hundreds of other people have had similar experiences.

Many other people who have probs of one sort of another have found upon removing mercury fillings they have had improvements sometimes enormous, including a friend of mine.

mercury is one of the most toxic poisons knows to mankind that was banned in fillings from many other european countries many years ago, I personally dont think it is safe to have a poison like that in your mouth, even though it is supposed to not leech it clearly does, your body doesn't metabolise poisons the body wasn't designed to ingest, autistic people less so, although i think human beings have adapted to the poisons and chemicals in the world like pests adapt to pesticides, our world is so toxiic and poisonous it is a miracle anyone is alive and the planet is dying the forests are disappearing ( the lungs of the earth) the oceans are dying and the earth is on the brink of chaos

also when they removed mercury from the vaccines in california dx of autism went down

Actually, they did not go down; the very centre that gathered those figures made it clear that they were NOT an indicator of Autism incidence. There are different kinds of diagnosis in different places and from what I can recall, the numbers are taken from service use, not every Autistic diagnosed. Some groups have seen fit to misrepresent the figures against the publisher's express desires for their use.

When MMR was introduced in Britain, the diagnoses of Autism went up. But to say there is a link between them is disingenous for the same reasons it would be wrong to say Mercury is linked to Autism because the figures changed in California. First, when MMR was introduced, the trend for rising Autism diagnoses had already begun and was more directly linked with Wing's introduction of Asperger's Syndrome to the English-speaking world, same in California: the trend had already begun before Thimerosal was removed. Second, the figure are still pretty much the same and in response to the facts regarding statistics, the Mercury-causes-Autism groups seized on the fact that Thimerosal was still present in *one* single vaccine being given.

The amount of Mercury children recieved in California was far higher in the 70s and 80s than it was in the 90s and present day where allegedly Autism 'exploded'.

Mercury IS one of the most toxic chemicals known to man....depending on what form it comes in. I know there is Ethyl-Mercury and Methyl-Mercury, I'm not sure which is the really toxic one that kills on contact, but it's not the one that is in Thimerosal and comes in a form that can be safely held in a bare hand with no effects. I'll repeat that, one of those two types of Mercury is not deadly on contact, the other is and it's the one you can take a bath in without harm that gets put in vaccines to the magnitude of....one part per two million. So take a bath in that fairly harmless kind of Mercury, then dilute it two million times and that is what is supposed causing Autism.

The most deadly element, not chemical, but the very element itself which is the destruction of all Carbon-based life is Cyanide. It occupies a space on the Periodic Table relative to Carbon which directly makes it the one thing that will kill Carbon life on contact. You're also surrounded by it almost completely, no doubt a lot of the food we eat has naturally-occuring Cyanide in it in very small parts.

Despite what some would have us believe, there isn't really much our bodies are not designed to deal with. Mercury and Cyanide are not new; they've threatened us since we were single-cell organisms and it was proberly around that time we developed in a manner that made their threat to us negligable.

If it is on Earth and is not very new, we've evolved for it.

My personal thoughts on the subject of vaccinations.

I am still quite undecided about what I think about vaccinations...I am unsure enough not to give my son his booster injections just incase it causes his ASD to become more severe and because I've read somewhere that the booster is often not actually needed and the child is still immune i.e. it is a backup to catch kids on whom the first injections failed and to extend the immunity a few years of the kids on whom the first injection worked.

On the side of vaccinations if you like there is a small family history of autism in our case and also mental illness on my sons paternal side but this does not mean his ASD or my very young cousins classic autism were not made more severe by modern vaccinations.

My son did have a unknown virus and a night observed in hospital a couple of weeks after his first injection which contained mercury this was at 11 weeks old and the doctors at the time noted that physically at this time he was quite advanced at holding his head up etc however I never noticed anything unadvancing so to speak after this scare except from the fact he was a little stubborn thing who never listened and never seemed to want to do anything anyone asked him. The only regression I saw was when at about 2 years old he became very fussy about food and is still extremely phobic about trying new food and the smell of others foods even.

One thing which has swung me back into wondering about the safety of vaccinations is an article I read a while back about a survey which was taken on the amish community in the states where the incidence of ASD was virtually nil. I wish someone would do proper scientific research on this as it could prove very valuable group to look at whatever the causes of ASD.

I have been to a lecture where Professor Boyd Haley talked at length about the dangers of mercury in all of it's forms which was fascinating and extremely scary. His belief is a safe level of mercury to put in the human body is none at all.

I wish someone would do proper scientific research on this as it could prove very valuable group to look at whatever the causes of ASD.

Because of the isolated nature of the Amish comunity a diagnosis of Autism will be rare. I think the study should be followed up as my insinct is that the true incidence of Autism in the Amish community is the same as it is anywhere else.

As with any controversial issue, a discussion about Autism and compounds of mercury really needs to pay proper regard to the facts.

First, this is where it really started to gain momentum:

Toxic Metal Clue to Autism, New Scientist "Breaking News" 18th June 2003

A study of mercury levels in the baby hair of children who were later diagnosed with autism has produced startling results. The babies had far lower levels of mercury in their hair than other infants, leading to speculation that autistic children either do not absorb mercury or, more likely, cannot excrete it...

...But while the study's findings support the theory that some children have a genetic fault that makes them far more susceptible to mercury poisoning, the results certainly do not prove this, or that thimerosal is involved.

The difference in mercury levels in hair may be a sign of a more general problem in dealing with metals or it could simply be an anomaly that reveals little about what is happening elsewhere in the body.

This research could equally signify either of two things: either children with Autism cannot "take up" metals essential for brain development, or they cannot get rid of it.

And that article finishes with:

Astonishingly, only one other published study, from 1985, has compared mercury levels in the hair of children with and without autism. That study found no difference, but it did find lower levels of metals such as calcium, copper and chromium
.

The most significant thing about this is that the study was not conclusive, but indicated numerous possible conclusions all of which needed further study to verify/eliminate. However, as with most emotive issues, people didn't accept that - they treated the possibilities as a menu, chose the answer that they liked the best, and treated it as the truth.

Second, the quantities of mercury found in the children in these studies are were later found to be several orders of magnitude greater than the trace quantities found in vaccines that do still use thimerasol as a wash (it has been 'phased out' over recent years, and by 2003 less than 50% of all UK vaccines still used it.) It is important to remember that thimerasol (aka thiomersal) was never an additive to vaccines, but a wash, and removed - leaving a barely measurable trace behind. If mercury is the cause of Autism (and the New Scientist article quoted above really doesn't lead to that conclusion) then the source of the mercury cannot possibly be vaccinations. It's like saying that someone had a paracetamol overdose afer they used a glass previously used for disprol, and didn't wash it first.

There have also been studies comparing incidences of ASD in countries that do use mercury (the USA) and those that don't (such as in Scandinavia) and there is no difference.

There are still issues with the MMR - including, most importantly, the question that many scientists refuse to allow to be asked: why has MMR Vaccine strain virus been found in the spinal tissue of children with Autism? Then there is the effect known as "Gulf War Syndrome" - where it wasn't mercury levels or any other single compound that caused illness, but the cumulative effect of so many injections compressed into such a short length of time. Kind of like having food poisoning, a hangover, diarrhoea, conjunctivitis and an ingrown toenail at the same time. Only worse.

The conclusion is simple: there are a lot of questions about the safety of the MMR, and many of them have been answered. Included in those answers is whether there is a causal link between the MMR, or any compounds of mercury used in its manufacture, and Autism. It is not a simple answer, but then it isn't a simple question either. But the answers are available.

Whether or not people accept those answers is something else entirely.

That would be the same Boyd Haley that still hasn't apoligised for the term 'mad-child disease' in reference to Autism. He refuses to acknowledge there are many Autistic adults that found it deeply offensive.

I believe with some individuals mercury within injections can cause problems. I also believe that some children experience severe side effects from vaccinations. ASD can run in families. I believe the environment and the way we product food can have an effect on our children.

Where my child gets his ASD from I do not know. But I believe there can be different causes of ASD. Because the cause are so varible it makes researching the condition more completed. (That is if the is money available for the research)

Yes the number of people being diagnosed with ASD is rising but so is the number of people with depression, Bi poplar etc.

Hello,

I have a few questions upon reading this please, if you could help me to understand it.

The blood test to check the levels of metals in the system, have any of the parents or carers had their childrens blood tested. Is this a given reason to suspect heavy metal poisoning. How could you tell or know if your child had Autism or a Heavy Metal poisoning if their bodies don't excrete metals. There are metals in many things from deodorants to foods and possibly chemicals sprayed on vegetation. Is the ecosystem poisoning our children on top of the multiple injections required by law of a child to have before commencing school or preschool.

Have any of your thoughts on this changed since this was discussed a few years ago.

I work in early child care and it raises lots of questions among parents whether to immunise or not. If you could share your views about this today, that would really help me with some assignments.

Regards

Enissa
