  1. My son and I have suffered from this more me though which could be put down to anxiety.I have had horrendous journys once I only went two miles down the road and I felt dreadful once Ireland 61/2 hours in a mini bus Goodnews though I have found a brilliant remedy. it's called Stugeron you take two meds 2 hours before the journey and 1 med every eight hours after that. .I went to London on Sunday something I wouldn't even have considered at one time. Now I can enjoy views enjoy the journey and not be praying for the end of the journey before it started.
  2. I can only reply from a mothers point of view.My son has told me that when I am stressed hoping that everything will go ok he picks up on it straight away.Of course that is when things go wrong because I am so stressed anything that is done or said is magnified in my own mind.I wish I was one the laid back type who could just let the aspergers world flow by me.Twice when he was young I listened to well meaning friends and wasn't so protective. The first time I nearly lost him in the sinking sands a Burnham and the second he ran straight at a bonfire.

  6. Hello, Hope your well, its very difficult in early days, especially when your child has no diagnosis, and you worry about your child's education needs, and obviously if they will go to the right school. I would write a diary of all issues that concern you. Write down every professional you've seen.,Write down all your daily challenges you face. Do not be fobbed of at all, insist full assessment is done.Have confidence in yourself, don't feel be intimidated by them, its your child and you know your child best. I have recently read a book, which I feel may be usefull to you, it called A Mothers Guide to Autism, by Stephen Gandy. Its from Amazon and you can just choose the part of the book that relates to your problems. It is written in in conjunction with the authors experiences and the experiences of a mother bringing up a child with core autism and a child with aspergers. http://www.amazon.com/Mothers-Guide-Autism-Spectrum-ebook/dp/B008Y0YVW6/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1345384041&sr=1-1&keywords=Mothers+of+autistic+children
