I am doung a parachute Jump this Sunday!
For the Princess Royal Maternity Appeal to raise money to buy equipment for premature babies
I hope the weather is good and i get to jump
Ohhh how exciting!
Getting a wee bit nervous about it now tho.
Wish me luck!
I am going to stay in a hotel on Sat night, basically coz we all felt like a wee treat and wanted to make a nice weekend out of the parachute jump.
I have managed to raise about 400 so far so am quite pleased with that
ooh just been reading the question and answer section of the website
how fab does this sound?
Q: How fast do you fall?
A: You fall pretty fast when in freefall.
After exiting the aircraft gravity starts to accelerate your body towards the ground and it takes about 12 seconds to reach a maximum speed of around 175 ft per second which is roughly 120 mph.
Once you have reached this terminal velocity your body will continue to fall at this rate, falling 1000 ft roughly every 5.5 seconds.
If you exit the aircraft on a tandem jump at 10000 ft where the parachute is opened at 5000ft you will be in freefall for about 34 seconds.

I am 23 and STILL eat practically the same thing every day
the only healthy thing i eat is homemade soup,
(Lentil, made with lentils, carrots, leek, and turnip then HAS to be blended or else i will not eat it!)
lol
nothing else i eat is that healthy tho
Toast, or chips with or without cheese!
French toast
plain hot dog
cheese sandwich/bread and butter
lol and that is my diet, i don't like anything else.
well yeh plain crisps, and dairy milk chocolate, not v healthy either is it?
tho i don't eat cake or anything like that.
that is all i eat
if i am away anywhere and i don't like the food i will choose to go hungry rather than eat anything i know i won't like.
like have lasted over a week, living on the odd bit of bread and butter to eat rather than try anything new.

I am such a fussy eater.
I actually work in a school for pupils who have special needs.
Our dinner ladies are fantastic, as we have some kids who will only eat certain things, the ladies accomodate them by making what they like. If we know child x will only eat y then that is what will be made and put aside for them.
We also have the advantage of having a small school so that this can be done.
The dinner ladies know all of the kids, and know what they like, or parants somethimes request that their child gets such and such to eat.
They even make things that i like as i have always been really really fussy with food, so they even make the same thing for me every day. When i was at school i used to always have a packed lunch, and would take in homemade soup in a flask in the winter months. As i won't eat any soup unless it is made a certain way.

Well today i went to the Safari park with my mum and some of the kids she looks after. Aged 3, 2, and 7
The three kids were looking at a pig when this big ostrich came running towrds us!
The 7 year old moved out of the way
and i grabbed the 3 yr old and put her out of its way, turned back to get the 2 yr old and the thing had her by the hair and pulled her bobble out!
I lifted her out of its way as well, she didn't even cry, i think she was in shock!
lol wish i had a video camera with me!

Parachute Jump Went Well
in General Discussion
Posted · Report reply
I did my jump yesterday
It went well
Weather wasn't promising when we arrived at the airfeild at 9am, but it started to clear up in the afternoon and i got to jump at about 3.15pm
It was a Tandem Skydive from 10,000ft with a 30 second freefall at 118mph.
I loved it and would do it again if i got the chance to.
