I'm qualified as a Dispensing Optician and met Ian Jordan at a couple of talks he gave to fellow Dispensing Opticians in Leeds. I happen to suffer from chronic pain and dyslexia so was volunteered for one of the demonstrations... Ian then very kindly also made me realise that it is not normal to only be able to see part of a face at a time !! I won't tell you what my husband said when I got back home and said "You never guess what - if I look through a blue-green lens I can see a whole face at once and I can read a wall clock without having to check out each hand separately"

When I'm not working as a Dispensing Optician I work as a Reflexologist, and when I'm not working I'm with my 2 daughters and my very patient husband.

I want to understand the issues facing people who have found themselves on the spectrum in order that I can work in this area to the best of my ability.
